Tom Tancredo announced this morning (Just In)

    Just got this email
    Dear Friend,

Tom Tancredo announced this morning that he is seriously considering a
    run for the Presidency!

With the encouragement of thousands of supporters Congressman Tom
Tancredo has announced he is setting up an committee, Tancredo for a
    Secure America.

As the beloved national leader of the pro-borders and anti-amnesty
movement, Tom will guarantee that true immigration reform is front and
center in the presidential campaign. Now let these corporate shills
who call themselves the people's representatives try to roll back that
fence or pass an amnesty! Our voices have just been given a
    megaphone!

The fight will not be easy, and the stakes are critical. As Tom wrote
in a letter to his supporters, "The decision to pursue this arduous
and undeniably uphill battle is because I, like you, have a duty to do
everything I can to keep faith with those who risked their 'lives,
fortunes and sacred honor' to create this wonderful place we call
    America."

You can find his entire letter on our website at

Team America proudly endorses Tom Tancredo for President. And we
encourage you to join Team Tancredo at http://www.teamtancredo.com/ .
Tom has always been there for us. Now it is our turn to be there for him.

God bless Tom Tancredo and God bless America!

What do you mean by finally? Duncan Hunter is all those things too. Furthermore, I believe he is more electable. I have mixed feelings about Tancredo running because I'd hate to see our support split. IMO, one individual for all anti-illegal immigrant advocates to support would be a big plus. Actually, that might be just enough to get us through the primaries and into the White House. Personally, I think it would be better if Tancredo would throw his support behind Duncan Hunter. It's early though, we'll see how things shake out.

I like Tom, he will let you know what he thinks about illegal immigrations. But I'm not happy with his backing of Bush's idea on social security.

Duncan, is ex military and combat vet that looks good. He is not as out spoken on illegal immigration as Tom. Need to see where he stands on other things such as social security.

I am not convinced about the electabilty issue. No matter who is in favor of eliminating illegal immigration, they are going to get hammered by the media and special interest groups. Tancredo has an advantage that he has been very vocal and already has a large support system. I also like the fact that Tom does not scare easily, and does not back off the issue. I haven't seen Hunter in action yet, so time will tell. Either way, both men would be good for our country and I wish them all the best.

Well, as much as we would like to think it no one will be elected on the immigrations issue alone. But it will be a very, very large factor.
