Well, truthfully, I think right now our side needs to show some "good faith" in our new President, the first President since Dwight Eisenhower who is willing to deport illegal aliens, take on Mexico and Canada, take on the courts, take on the whole frigging world on our behalf. If Republicans don't think they can KILL THE BILL with regards to Dreamers in the US Congress, where we control both chambers, then Republicans need to sit down and wait for orders from the President, because he's got this, he has his plan, he has his strategy, and I have every reason to believe it will work very nicely and get US ALL some HUUUUGE results.

Right, but here're still some anti-republicans bugs, right McCaine, or Graham...who are against the current Government and the president. That's a huge problem.

I am not going to sit back and trust anyone including President Trump. I am spending my time talking to other disenfranchised American citizen's in California. We are tired of waiting for results. Our corrupt government has stolen from us and have given everything to the illegal immigrants including our votes. We are watching as our infrastructure is washing away and people are losing their homes. We are watching as our citizens are being killed, because our state decided to let criminals out on the street instead of fixing our prisons and they want to take our 2nd amendment away from us, so that we cannot defend our families. No Judy, we know where our money has gone. All to support and protect the illegal immigrant community.

We are barely holding on and have been waiting for Trump to acknowledge the crisis that is going on here in California, but we have only gotten silence. He is not taking on the whole frigging world on behalf of the California citizens that so desperately need him. So, no I will not sit by quietly and trust your President.

Congressman Steve King said he doesn't understand why the President would make exceptions for DACA. Immigration laws are to be enforced. No special carve outs.

President Trump needs to stop the two year DACA renewals happening every day and the new enrollments for DACA. He promised the American citizens he would prefer us, not foreign citizens.

To keep families together they need to leave together.

You have to remember, Trump didn't carve them out. They were already carved out by Obama, Congress could have passed a law that prevented continuation of the DACA 2012 program, but Republicans didn't do that; the 26 states that filed the lawsuit against the Expanded DACA and DAPA of 2014 could have included DACA 2012 in their lawsuit against Obama, but 26 Republican Governors chose not to do that.

If the Republican Congress when it had larger majorities than it has now refused to act against DACA 2012 and 26 Republican Governors chose not to include DACA 2012 in their lawsuit when they could have, why do Republicans expect Trump to do something when by now the program is set to expire next month? It takes up to 4 months to approve a DACA, none of the applications coming in since Trump was inaugurated will be approved, because the program will be legally expired before they're approved.

One dreamer mentioned the money. Around 800,000 DACA x $465.00 or whatever the fee is currently is another reason Republicans and Democrats like the program.

Judy, where does it say DACA expires? I may have overlooked it but I did not see an end date.

There is no end date. The only way it will have an end date is if Congress passes a law or if the President ends it with a memo/EO.

A deferred action has to have a time period. It can not be forever. The original time period was 2 years. It was renewed by Obama for 3 years in June 2014. That means under normal law that it expires on or before June 2017. Obama tried to sneak in 3 year work permits on that but Judge Hanen threw a fit and said that was an "expansion" and stopped it. Remember the big fiasco about the Justice Department lawyers lying to the Judge about how many of the 3 year work permits had been sent out and then they were trying to get them back? Those lawyers were sanctioned because they lied to Hanen about how many had been sent out, and whether or not any more had been sent after his halt to it. But CATO Institute in December of last year, 2 months ago, compiled the expiration dates of the work permits that could be issued and shows them all expiring by March 2019. So the original DACA may have started in March 2012, expiring in March of 2014, then renewed in June 2014 but still going back to the original start date.

It can't go on forever as a deferred action. Deferred action has to have a time period for the deferral and be relatively short like 2 years.

The original program DACA 2012 was for 2 years. That's why it was renewed in June 2014 by Obama who tried to make it for 3 years, but only with 2 year work permits as prescribed in the original DACA. That means it ends in 2017. Sean Spicer said in a briefing a few weeks ago it expired on its own in June of 2017. But the CATO Institute is showing all the DACA 2012 2-year work permits under the original program, as renewed, run out in March 2019 meaning that the latest ones to be issued under the Obama DACA renewal will be in March 2017, expiring 2 years later in March 2019.

This is what I'm basing it on.
