    Exclamation

John McCain should be respected for his service and actions in Viet Nam as a POW, but that doesn't make him above criticism. His is to be respected for his service, but should be reviled for his traitorous actions as a Senator. I agree with William, to hell with John McAmnesty!!

I fully agree, MW. I lost several great uncles in WWII and an uncle. My great grandmother lost two sons. In war someone has to do battle, but without the people driving truck to re-supply warriors there will be no battles. Without someone to do medical work, there would be very few lives saved. If you served in war time and willing to be whatever is required with your skill levels, you were willing to be heroic. That is all that is required.

There seem to be attitudes all over the map on this. A friend of mine said tis morning out of the blue, "They are all bashing Trump just because he has guts to confront issues the rest have ignored for too long." Having been the victim of bad press ( remember when they could leave your best argument on the cutting room floor), and not aware until this morning that McCain called Trump's supporters "15,000 crazies" I'm on Trump's side (McCain took the first shot) , but do not condone his indicating military service to be non-heroic. Granted, the levels of danger in war is multi-leveled, but I respect anyone willing to "take a bullet" for the nation. When Trump becomes President, I will laugh when he closes the White House press room. Who could blame him? When they have to stand outside to get a story, press conferences will be very short, betcha!

Having seen first hand how my brother in law was treated upon his return and the coverup surrounding him I guess I was resenting calling McCain a hero. I was especially upset when I had written Senator McCain about this injustice to a fellow POW and the fact that he never even responded. I put it aside and did no more research figuring it was hopeless. Yesterday I googled my brother in law, Floyd James Thompson. Low and behold they had finally written a book about him "Glory Denied" and the forward was written by John McCain. I read John McCain's statements about Jim and I am glad that John McCain and so many that were POW's recognize that he was the true "Hero".

Trump slams McCain for being ‘captured’ in Vietnam; other Republicans quickly condemn him
It's a shame "other Republicans" don't as quickly condemn illegal aliens and their supporters who are harming and killing Americans and destroying our nation.

Trump, as he should, put republicans on notice that becoming a third party candidate is still open to his mind. Republicans have been wrong on this alien issue for a generation. Trump has given them a golden opportunity to show that they want to support closed and controlled borders. They chose the exact opposite! Many of them have been in Congress for years. Other than Cruz, none have shown compassion or support for Trump.

LOUDLY and clearly that broadcasts that as things are is hunky-dory with republicans and the party!! That broadcasts that supporting any republican from the present mold of republicans, whether they be newcomers or oldtimers, is supporting alien invasions.

Now, here is my biggest problem with Trump. I think he may be even faster than Obama with the executive order pen. Some of that is needed to move Obama's orders back to zilch. I do not think Trump would hesitate to use it if Congress balked at his pet projects. Republicans are in Trump's cross hairs if they balk at his executive orders, they did not raise a finger over Obama's nation destructive orders. How can the R party ever resist any Executive order without exposing themselves as the double standard party, which we know they are?

If republicans want to be the saviors of this nation rather than the death of it, they seem to need to support Trump. But, before blaming Trump for putting them in a box, (blaming Trump will only cause them more PR trouble) republicans caused their own death, commonly know as paranoid suicide.

Win or lose the election, Trump wins. Hopefully so does the nation!
