After reporting restrictions were lifted after a court ruling, the identity of Ayman Aziz, who brutally raped and murdered a 14-year-old schoolgirl has been revealed for the first time.
Ayman Aziz, a 17-year-old Lithuanian national and resident of Wolverhampton, first contacted Viktorija Sokolova, 14, online and coaxed her into meeting him at a park where he then subjected her to appalling levels of violence for two hours before he soullessly dumped her body on a bench.
The 14-year-old’s body – half naked and bent over a bench – was discovered the following morning by someone walking.

Aziz has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 14-year-old Sokolova and an additional ten years for raping the teen. As things currently stand under the British justice system, Aziz will be eligible for parole in just 19 year.
Instead of running consecutively with the murder charge, the ten-year rape sentence will run concurrently and therefore will not increase the Aziz’s total time in prison.
Justice Jeremy Baker, who sentenced Aziz, described the attack as “truly shocking”. Others referred to as “ferocious and sustained”.
Detectives say that after Sokolova refused to have sex with Aziz, he hit her 21 times with a hammer with such brutal force that she suffered a fractured skull, shattered vertebrae, and brain injuries. Following the horrendous attack, Aziz dragged her body about 150-yards to the bench.
In an attempt to cover up the crime, Aziz deleted the text messages between him and the victim, hurled her victims phone toward a nearby lake, and hid his bloodied clothes and his cell phone.
Unfortunately for Aziz, CCTV cameras were there to catch everything on tape.
Throughout his trial, Aziz supposedly showed no remorse whatsoever.
Wolverhampton’s West Park, the park where the heinous crime occurred, has been described as once being the focal point of a prosperous industrial city – now encircled by run-down multiple-occupancy properties which have been converted from former Victorian detached homes.
According to a recent report by the local news site Birmingham Live, the diverse area and nearby neighborhoods are now know for rising crime rates and sexual violence.
