    Chris,
You can not give up hope. Everyone must keep doing whatever that person is able to do at any given time. Not everyone has the option to become a Minuteman even if that is what they would sorely love to do.

I have been calling and writing for over 12 years, since NAFTA was being negotiated, before I had access to a computer and the internet. There are still many times I have to walk away from it, but I always come back because I am not going to let those fools win.

I have seen more happen our way in the last year than all 12 of the other years, mostly around the time I joined ALIPAC and people were finally getting involved. This was just before the Minutemen went to the border. I have to say they are mostly responsible for things turning around and bringing attention to our cause, but we have helped also.

Our calling and writing is not in vain. Please don't anyone get discouraged. We are on a roll.

Just keep doing whatever you can.

I agree with Darlene. We can all choose something to do that fits into our life structure. Calling is VERY important. E-mailing is VERY iimportant. It may seem slow and useless, but if it were not a viable technique, why would Tom Tancredo continue in his PLEAs for us to keep up the pressure by calling our senators.

Most of us do not have the means to take off work and fly around the country. And like Pinestrawguy, some of us are committed to responsibilities that no one else can just take over for us. I think you owe him an apology for that remark. Someone who can sit down and send 100 e-mails in one day has done alot. I call all the Senators, about 30 per day. I'll tell you you have to have some self discipline to block out the time and sit down to the task.

G-d Bless the minutemen for their hard work for all of us. But I believe even they solicit donations so they can fund their projects.

This movement is not funded by big companies like our opposition's is. We don't live off of Goverment GRANTS like so many of the communist and socialist groups disguised as "human rights" advocates do.

Patriotic fingers are VITAL to our success!! Yes, it is more dramatic to have huge demonstrations, but the slower, less showy action of one call at a time, until the Switchboard can't even answer the phones for all the calls, THAT HAS BEEN UNDERUSED!! I am getting through usually on 2-3 rings, and the operators sound leisurely and bored. That tells me people are not using that avenue to its maximum.
