From: A Concerned Border Patrol Agent


I am a Border Patrol agent in the Indio, CA area and am asking for help. Recently, we have had quite a bit of attention in the media due to the increased apprehensions we have had in the area, including the recent arrests of illegal alien day workers in the Riverside area. As usual, the media is not reporting on the situation in a fair manner and we even had a protest outside of our station by pro-illegal types.

We need to hear from people who support the Border Patrol and the increased enforcement that has been taking place. If not, I am afraid that our supervisors will only hear from the "other side" and be pressured to reduce our efforts. Please contact as many of your members, associates and friends and have them contact the El Centro, Indio and Riverside offices!

When contacting El Centro (Sector HQ's), ask to speak to the Sector Chief. The person answering the phone probably won't let you speak to him, so just ask them to let the chief know that you support the Border Patrol, the increased enforcement efforts taking place in his Sector, particularly in Indio and Riverside.

When contacting Indio and Riverside, ask to speak to the Patrol Agent in Charge. Again, they probably won't let you talk to him, so just ask them to let the chief know that you support the Border Patrol and the increased enforcement efforts taking place in Indio and Riverside.
