    Tan Nguyen Was Right!

    By John W. Lillpop

In the midst of all the controversy surrounding Tan Nguyen and his famous letter to Hispanics, how many people actually read the “offending” letter? My guess is darn few.

I have seen the letter and now realize that Nguyen was right!

The letter in question has been translated into English and is reproduced below.

    Dear ----------,

You are receiving this letter because you have recently registered to vote. If you are a U.S. Citizen, I urge you to participate in the democratic process of voting.

Be advised that if your residence in the United States is illegal or if you are an emigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that can result in incarceration, and possible deportation for voting without the right to do so.

In the same way, be advised that the U.S. government is installing a new computerized system to verify names of all the newly registered voters who participate in the elections in October and November. Organizations against immigration will be able to request information from this new computerized system.

Not like in Mexico, here there is no benefit to voting. In the United States there is no registration card to vote. Therefore, it is useless and dangerous to vote in any election if you are not a citizen of the United States.

Do not pay attention to a politician who may try to tell you otherwise. They only care about their own interests. They just want to win elections and it doesn't matter to them what happens to you.

    Sincerely,

    Sergio Ramirez

After reviewing the letter itself, it is clear that Nguyen's staff is simply reminding citizens to vote and non-citizens not to vote. What is wrong with that, for heaven's sake?

Rather than harassing Tan Nguyen for doing the right thing, the more appropriate action would be to ask Loretta Sanchez why she has not sent a letter like this to the Hispanic community herself!

So true!! No other words need to be said, this is something the Latino leaders of America should be doing within their own group. It would be the right thing to do.

Perhaps it's because Loretta Sanchez would never have been elected in the first place if it hadn't been for fraudulent votes cast by illegal aliens.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

I'm still waiting to hear how this was deemed a "hate crime" and caused justification of raiding his election office by the FBI.

I don't see any laws being broken in this letter, nor does it "single" out hispanics.
From his website he states that in some areas he is beating Sanchez in the polls, which certainly explains why her party exploited and twisted this letter around.

I hope Tan wins. That POS sanchez needs to pack her bags.

Perhaps it's because Loretta Sanchez would never have been elected in the first place if it hadn't been for fraudulent votes cast by illegal aliens.
In 1996 Sanchez knocked off the controversial Dornan by only 979 votes in the traditionally Republican Orange County. But Dornan's complaints about voting irregularities led to a 14-month probe by the House Oversight Committee.

The time-consuming investigation -- that only ended last spring with a ruling that there was voter fraud but did not fault Sanchez and awarded her the seat -- made the Democrat a martyr with her party and Hispanics nationwide. Meanwhile, Dornan's aggressive lobbying for the election results to be overturned turned off some of his former GOP colleagues.

That was exactly the fear and the reason the Sanchez campaign tried to throw their venom on this candidate. This election should be scrutinized closely by CA citizens.

Get a load of the letter CA's Sec of State sent to those residents and please make sure you scroll down to the end. And this was done at taxpayer's expense of course.

    so, WHERE'S THE BEEF?

could it be that Mr Nuyen's people got used to the Latino Lobby's deliberate confusion between "illegals" and "immigrants"?... NCLR and all those "major latino groups" are only suffering the consequence of their campaign to make it look like illegals and immigrants are one and the same.... so WHERE'S THE BEEF?
    ...by a nose!
