I mean that an all volenteer Army is what makes our Military great, and forceing people into service to get citizenship would degrade our great Military.Like I said I knew guys joining to get citizenship and fought beside them. They were good people and wanted to be there and wanted to be Americans.Didn't mean the last post the way it sounded.thanks for pointing it out

And I will repeat, On this particular issue, someone who has joined as an illegal, cannot be trusted to defend America or Americans.

My son and I have talked about this, and he himself admitted to torn feelings due to the closeness that takes place among everyone serving. But, he also admitted that it has been on other issues that they served. And that this can of worms is a whole different ball game when you know the guy next to you has illegal family in the US as well. He lived in Barreo Logan in San Deago for 3 yrs. He knows of latino family loyality. He partied with them, fought with them, ate with them. And admits on this one issue he could not totally 100% trust that guy next to him if they both stood on the boarder and saw illegals crossing. He also expressed he would be able to in ALL other areas they would be fighting or performing in. This situation is very unique to other wars and military actions that illegals have severed with us in.

And had they not been given this amnesty deal, and be aloud to embed in our military, there would be no concerns at all about were we would stand if all hell broke loose. I resent like all hell That I even have to even worry about my son's well being in this area. He should be able to trust every soldier out there 100%! But, thats not America's reality at this moment.

Do you think all those with "unknown" might have been illegals?

Seriously, the US military does not knowingly take illegal immigrants. There has been a program for years that allowed an accelerated path to citizenship for resident aliens.

One thing I don't like is part of the DREAM Act is an option for those to serve 2 years in the military as a path to citizenship. People eligible for DREAM are illegal aliens. DREAM is an amnesty.

Once again, I have the utmost respect and love for our military.

I just want to point out right now there are people in this country who have no respect for this country, its laws, it's people, its customs, it's very survival.
I am going to be concerned that merely putting them in uniform, and administering an oath will somehow transform them into American loving people.

I just think the possibilities are too scary.

Things are not what they used to be just a generation ago.

We have people in the WH, and many in congress, in our state legislature, law enforcement, etc., who have taken oaths. They seem to be forgetting those oaths right now. They are literally conspiring to destroy this country, it's soveriegnty and its people. Many of those people served in the military - but are willing to do this to America and its people.

WE have enough of our institutions destroyed by this - I would hate to see the military.

Nothing is beyond the realm of possibility in this country right now.
