We need to set up to call on Sotomeyer, Agree or disagree?

She is on record as being very race-based, bias, and a general unmentionable pro-Raza No gooder!

We need to get ready to BOMBARD Congress when they start the hearings around July 13th. We need to be LOUD AND STEADY~! NumbersUSA might not pick up on this.

You can PRACTICE by calling on the HATE BILL, and posting on other istes to recruit more fence sitters!!

Agreed. The more I learn about Sotomayor the less I think she is suitable. I started writing as soon as she was nominated. If all 7 Republicans in the Senate Judiciary Cmte. would agree to block her she would be out. That is the rule: they must have at least one minority party vote in Committee to send it to the floor.

I believe in "color" blindness: I don't believe in favoritism to certain groups.

I guess targeting the seven on Monday will be the thing to do.

    NO to Sotomayor

I agree -- major call in, fax, email to ALL Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee and it might not hurt to contact the Dems as well just to let them ALL know we oppose this woman.

Oh and don't forget, Comedian Franken(stein) will be joining the Senate Judiciary Committee to play the "people's proxy" during the hearings.

Unfit Despite American Legal Association's Endorsement

She is absolutely unqualified to serve, despite the American Bar's stating to the contrary. She may have earned her law degree, but she has forgotten that judges must weigh laws, not rule by their own bias.

The Supreme Court just overturned an essential case that proves just how biased she is. Even if "she's overcome enormous odds", how does that make her more qualiifed than a male peer who has an exemplarly record? Many Americans went to law school at night, and that qualified them to be an attorney, but an attorney is not a "judge".

I think that she needs to go back to her Catholic roots and remember King Solomon. Or, did she decide that the white men in the Catholic church were also too stupid? Is that why she is not a practicing Catholic now? I believe that she is incapable of rendering an unbiased opinion. I have heard nothing to convince me otherwise.

    She is a disgrace.

I do agree with the hopes of having Sotomayor eliminated as a selection to the Supreme Court.

When Sotomayor's hearings were scheduled for July 13, I wrote every member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and TX Sen. Hutchison opposing her confirmation. In the email, I cited the following articles to support my objections:

    1. "Sotomayor Ruling Could Have Cost Consumers Billions"

(her 2nd Circuit decision in Riverkeeper, Inc. V. EPA 475 F. 3d 83' reversed by the Supreme Court)

    2. Her decision in the case of the New Haven, Conn., firefighters case currently before the Supreme Court has been much publicized:

Sotomayor Faces Scrutiny on Controversial Firefighters Ruling
    http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/sotoma ... 18257.html

    3. Judge Sotomayor has asserted publicly on numerous occasions that being of a member of a one special" ethnic group" better prepares her for her judicial duties than others:

    "In Sotomayor's Own Words"
    by Human Events
    05/27/2009

    4. Testimony from those who have worked with her professionally call into question Judge Sotomayor's professional temperament:

Case Against Sotomayor: Bully on the Bench?
    http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/soto ... 18173.html

    5. And, perhaps most importantly:

"Sotomayor Majority Opinions Reversed 60% by Supreme Court"

(Stephen Dinan, "The Washington Times", May 27, 2009)

    http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/soto ... 18561.html

Hope these may be of some assistance to others who are writing.
