Thread: What Do Garage Sales & Illegal Aliens Have In Common?

During the summer many people like to go to garage sales. I know I do, and I have gone for the last couple of week-ends. Everywhere I go I hear people talking about these troubling times. Many are concerned with illegal immigration but don't know where to take those concerns. I have been telling them about Alipac and our mission here. I've explained that illegal immigration has a big impact on our economy, our schools, our medical costs, etc. So, today I decided that the next time I go garage saling I'm going to pack some fliers with me to let more people know about Alipac, even the ones who are not complaining. Maybe if we all do this, we can open a few more eyes. The one thing I noticed is that everyone I talk to is unaware of the crime committed by illegals, and they look shocked when I tell them about it. So, the next time you go to garage sales, take some fliers with you. We have to use every opportunity we can to get the word out.

GREAT IDEA. TAKE THEM TO GARAGE SALES. OR EVEN HAVE YOUR OWN GARAGE SALE ONCE IN AWHILE. LAUNDROMATS ARE ALSO A GREAT PLACE FOR FLIERS. THEY ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE A BULLETIN BOARD AND PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING MUCH TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR LAUNDRY.

Including NumbersUSA may be helpful too since people are more willing to contact their Congressmen if they can send a free fax.

Today just by talking to some people where we stopped at a yard sale, they wanted to know how to get involved. I told them to get on Alipac. Hopefully for everyone we inform, they'll tell a few other people. Word of mouth is still a good way to get the word out.

Another good place is the magazine racks that hold real estate information in the front of grocery stores. There's almost always some empty spots just begging for illegal immigration info.

I agree get both sites out there. Some are more timid and Numbersusa is good for the timid.

I was asked today for some more of my business cards for our group. The man is going to take them to the American Legion. I think I'll print up some Alipac fliers and Numbersusa information.

I'm going to print out some flyers too. Thank you for the great idea. I had no idea they were available on this site.
