    Day Without Legal America

Can we put together an effort to do a day without LEGAL America?

A day all of us don't go to work or school, or trade stocks, make gas companies rich, buy groceries, make telephone calls, watch tv?

We would kick them in the a** if we did that.

Unfortunately I think a move by legal citizens that mirrors todays activities would do nothing to better the situation. Our biggest statement is that while the illegals may have shown they have a minor impact on our economy they don't care about the prosperity of the US. If they are willing to choose to detriment the US economy and disregard its ideals they don't deserve citizenship. If we can survive a day without them we can survive a year.

A day without government services to illegals now that would be nice.

How much did it cost for security and how much for the clean up tomorrow?

We have to compare the cost of this vs the hit the economy took to be able to see how valuable they are.

I say let them all go back where they came from and we will make do over here.

A day without an American has been planned for sometime for May 5th.

Same deal, no work, no school, no shopping.

There are also other May 5th and 6th ralleys across the country.

May 5th is cinco demyo which is why the day was chosen. It is the day America freed Mexico from the French when Napolian took over Mexico.

    A Day without Legal America

While I enjoy Diane's idea I have to agree with Deuce2 that it would not help the situation. I am looking for a solution and an end to illegal aliens and the first step would to be to stop giving them what we have worked for and earned. They do not deserve our rights and our benefits since they are not legal citizens. We definitely could do without them..it was actually nice to shop today and drive on the streets. I felt like I was in America once again.
If they think they can hurt us economically, I think we should show them that we can hurt them economically as well but refusing to give free medical and any other assistance they freely get from our government.
This needs to stop at the government level. Apparently, many people are not doing their jobs because if they were the plants and businesses who hire illegals would be shut down for hiring illegals to begin with. The average American citizen could figure out how to solve this problem without the need for million dollar committees. Tomorrow I am calling every representative and Congressman in my state and telling them I will not vote for them unless they eliminate the illegal alien problem, close the border and get the gasoline price down to a reasonable price. Amen.

    Who is in control?

What we all need to do is proceed to Mexico City and protest against that corrupt Mexican Mafia thug Vicente Fox and demand he improve the quality of life in his country. But we all know the hypocracy of the Mexican Government which specifically prohibits interference by foreigners in their internal affairs despite Fox's constant meddling in our country's affairs. I always hold out hope that our toilet of a president and spinless congress will do that through diplomatic channels but that is wishful thinking. We can't expect anything from a government which amounts to no more than big businesses whores and whose puppet strings are controlled by Vincente Fox and Hu Jintao.
This president devotes billions of resources, thousands of lives and threatens wars with countries half a world away and on the Korean peninsula but fails to secure our own backyard. I spent 24 years in the Air Force with combat only to see everything I fought for be sold out to third parties by an inept, incompetent, and impotent president and a useless do nothing congress who are unable to produce a simple piece of legislation to first secure our border, then clean up the garbage that is already here. I am sick and tired of these uneducated ignorant aliens comparing their so called "struggle" to that of African Americans during the civil rights era. They don't understand African Americans were citizens brought here against their will and their struggle was to assert their inalienable rights as free and equal citizens of society. Their lack of knowledge of American History coupled with the defamation of our most sacred national symbols further shows a complete lack of understanding of what America is which is not a quality of responsible citizenship.
I am afraid that we may be witnessing the beginning of the end of our country which is experiencing the same fate that caused the fall of Rome through ever increasing taxes, runaway spending, government excess coupled with greed and reliance on outside sources for critical government support.
Unless government wakes up and smells the proverbial coffee I am afraid the above may become reality.

    Illegal Immigration

m[i] Thanks for all the welcomes I have received. Actually, I was steamed way before the May 1st march but until I attended the rally in Cullman, I had no idea there were so many others like me out there, because no one was standing up to the illegals. Organizations like this one helps get the word out. They have strength in numbers but we have MORE numbers. We Americans are guilty of not speaking up until the last minute, after it has got out of hand. It won't get any better until we stand our ground and hit them where it hurts...their votes.

How about denying all "free" services for week. This would be a reminder as to who pays for these freebies that you and I pay for but would be denied if we ever need them.

Welcome all those new faces in this thread! I'm delighted to see you here!

Now, I wonder if my city will divulge how much extra money they had to spend to keep the cops riding herd on the marchers around here, not just once but THREE separate times. While their May 1 march was a flop, the two before it, the ones that their supporting groups paid for, were attended better.

And in between times, our city council was whining about how much it spends on overtime for police. Gee, could that have anything to do with the fact that they just watch what these people are doing instead of taking them off the streets and to the bus station headed across the international bridge?
