COI:
Thanks for remembering the century-changing date of June 6 1944.
While my folks were just barely too young to actively participate, I, many family and friends, and other people I've met were very much involved personally and directly.
They weren't called the 'Greatest Generation' for no reason.
Personally, I have met and known:
1. Army vet that went ashore in Normandy on D-Day (Utah Beach) and survived.
2. Army vet that fought and survived (was wounded) in Battle of the Bulge.
3. Marine that fought and was captured in The Philippines and survived that Bataan Death March and years of captivity during WWII.
4. A Japanese American Army vet that fought the Germans in WWII in Italy with the famed 442nd - he also was wounded and survived the war.
(etc - many others...)
God Bless 'em. They are all heroes in my view.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
