Good post sacredrage, Zimmerman doesn't fall into the White Hispanic category. If Zimmerman's mom has a good percentage of European DNA, he could be possibly be classified as a castizo rather than a Mestizo. Castizos are people who have 25% or less Amerindian heritage.

Some people do understand that White Hispanics do exist, but they aren't people like George Zimmerman. People like Andy Garcia, Gloria Estefan, Alexis Bledel, Sara Paxton, and Julie Gonzalo are classified as White Hispanic because they have no Amerindian heritage or little Amerindian heritage.

Crime photos, autopsy to be released in Trayvon Martin case

By Douglas Stanglin, USA TODAY Updated 22m ago

Florida Judge Kenneth Lester has ordered the release of more material in the Trayvon Martin case, including crime scene photos, an autopsy report and tests conducted on George Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the killing of the unarmed teenager.

Lester ordered the material released within 15 days, USA TODAY's Yamiche Alcindor reports.

The judge, however, ruled that the names of the witnesses in the case will be withheld, along with photos of the teen's body.

    Also being released:

    •Zimmerman's statements to police
•Zimmerman's calls to 911 and the Sanford, Fla., police
    •Comments by "Witness Nine"
•E-mails to Sanford police about the case
•E-mails from witnesses to Sanford police, with their names redacted.
    •Transcripts of Zimmerman's jailhouse calls
Zimmerman, 28, remains in jail, where he was taken after his bond was revoked.

Earlier this month, the judge ruled that Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie, had lied about how much money they had during an earlier bond hearing.

Shellie Zimmerman was arrested and charged with perjury in connection with her statements on the family's finances.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, has claimed that he shot 17-year-old Trayvon in self-defense in February in a gated community in Sanford.

Bond set at $1 million for Trayvon Martin's killer

Bond set at $1 million for Trayvon Martin's killer

By Barbara Liston | Reuters – 11 mins ago...

SANFORD, Florida (Reuters) - A Florida judge said George Zimmerman was a flight risk and set bond at $1 million on Thursday for the neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman had been released on $150,000 bond but was sent back to jail in June after prosecutors alleged he misled the court about his finances and failed to surrender a valid passport.

"This court finds that circumstances indicate that the defendant was preparing to flee to avoid prosecution, but such plans were thwarted," said Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester, who credited an electronic ankle bracelet with blocking Zimmerman's plans.

The judge said the higher bond amount was necessary to ensure Zimmerman would show up for trial on second-degree murder charges.

"The increased bail is not a punishment; It is meant to allay this court's concern that the defendant intended to flee the jurisdiction and a lesser amount would not ensure his presence in court," Lester wrote in his eight-page order.

The judge imposed numerous restrictions. He said that if released from jail again, Zimmerman must submit to electronic monitoring, remain in Seminole County, stay away from the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, refrain from applying for a passport or opening or maintaining a bank account, avoid alcohol and obey a curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Defense attorney Mark O'Mara told Reuters that Zimmerman does not have the cash or collateral to post the new bond.

"We have to do some very intentional fundraising to help the defense fund and to help George because he's not getting out without a lot more fundraising," O'Mara said.

He called the judge's order "very pointed," and said, "The judge obviously is very upset with George, believing that this thing was orchestrated. I disagree with that."

Zimmerman is charged in the February 26 shooting death of 17-year-old Martin in a gated community in the central Florida city of Sanford.

Martin's killing drew national attention because police initially failed to arrest Zimmerman. They cited Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law and Zimmerman's claim that he used deadly force because he believed his life was being threatened by Martin.

Zimmerman, 28, was later arrested on second-degree murder charges, which carry a penalty of 25 years to life in prison.

At his first bond hearing on April 20, Zimmerman sat silently as his wife told the court the couple had no money.

Shellie Zimmerman was charged with perjury after investigators learned the couple had raised at least $135,000 from a PayPal account set up to collect donations for Zimmerman's legal defense and living expenses.

The two were recorded during jail house phone calls in which they discussed moving the money among accounts, transactions that prosecutors called a deliberate attempt to deceive.

Prosecutor Bernie De La Rionda said that showed Zimmerman was untrustworthy and asked that he be denied bond.

O'Mara, the defense attorney, had argued that Zimmerman posed no risk of harm to the community and portrayed the case against him as weak.

The judge's order was scathing in its complete rejection of that argument.

It cited the prosecutor's contention that Zimmerman's "stories changed with each retelling." It also said the strength of evidence against Zimmerman was irrelevant to whether he should be awarded bond after misleading the court about his finances.

"Under any definition, the defendant has flaunted the system," the judge wrote.

The judge said O'Mara had attempted to portray Zimmerman as a confused young man who "experienced a moment of weakness" and may have acted out of a sense of betrayal by the justice system.

"Based upon all the evidence presented, this court finds the opposite. The defendant has tried to manipulate the system when he has been presented the opportunity to do so," the judge wrote.

He noted that Zimmerman had previously been arrested and completed a pretrial diversion program after a fight with a state alcohol agent, had filed for and been the subject of court-ordered domestic injunctions and had taken courses in criminal justice.

The judge said Zimmerman had a "very sophisticated knowledge of the criminal justice system over and above that of the average law-abiding citizen."

The money raised for Zimmerman's defense has since risen to more than $200,000 but was under the control of an independent trustee.

Zimmerman posts $1 million bond, released from Florida jail

George Zimmerman gets out of jail, but the judge in his case will now require advance notification before Zimmerman can leave the county. NBC's Jay Gray reports.

By NBC News and msnbc.com staff

Updated at 4:41 p.m. ET: SANFORD, Fla. -- George Zimmerman was released from the Seminole County Jail at 2:49 p.m ET Friday after posting $1 million bond in the Trayvon Martin case.

Zimmerman, 28, was wearing a white shirt and gray suit as he stepped into an SUV and was driven off, NBC News reported. Don West, one of Zimmerman's attorneys, described his client's mood as "buoyant."

He was fitted with an electronic monitoring device before his release. Zimmerman is required to stay in Seminole County, according to a statement by the Seminole County Sheriff's Department.

According to conditions of his release, Zimmerman can not open a bank account, obtain a passport or set foot on the grounds of the local airport. He has a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, the Associated Press reported.

On Thursday, Seminole County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth R. Lester, Jr. ordered Zimmerman's bond raised to $1 million in light of revelations Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie Zimmerman, had misled the court about their finances during an April 20 bond hearing.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, 17, inside a gated community in Sanford.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, pleaded not guilty and told police he acted in self-defense after Martin punched him and knocked his head against the pavement.

"He's very happy to be out," West said, the AP reported. "Certainly it's been a sobering experience being in that kind of environment."

Zimmerman had to pay a bond company $100,000 but also needed $1 million in collateral to secure the bail, according to his legal team. West refused to say what was being used as collateral after Zimmerman left the jail.

"We worked that out," West said, AP reported.

His parents, the document shows, put up their house as collateral, NBC News reported.

Zimmerman will stay in a "safe house" before relocating to a permanent residence, and he has hired a security team, according to information posted on a website run by his legal team, the AP reported.

    Woman Accuses Zimmerman of Molesting

    By LIZETTE ALVAREZ

    Published: July 16, 2012

MIAMI – An Orlando woman now in her mid-20s told investigators that George Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Trayvon Martin, molested her over a decade, beginning when they were both young children, according to an audio tape released on Monday.

The woman, whose parents were close to the Zimmerman family, talked to investigators on March 20. Identified only as Witness 9, she said she had come forward now, a decade after her last encounter with Mr. Zimmerman, 28, because, after his arrest, she was no longer afraid of him.

It is unclear how, or whether, prosecutors plan to use the allegations in their case against Mr. Zimmerman, who is free on $1 million bond. Mark O’Mara, Mr. Zimmerman’s lawyer, tried unsuccessfully at the last minute to block the special prosecutor from releasing the tape, which he said was irrelevant and prejudicial. He also sought to block the release of another tape in which the same witness describes Mr. Zimmerman's family as routinely disparaging black people.

The witness said that Mr. Zimmerman, who is about two years older than she is, first molested her when she was 6. She was staying in the Zimmermans’ Virginia home while her mother and father were moving from Louisiana to Orlando, Fla. The woman said Mr. Zimmerm
an had groped her with his hands while they lay under a blanket as they watched television with a group of children.

Other groping episodes followed, she said. She visited the family “at least once a year” and she was molested during some of those visits, she said, including once behind a curtain when she was 7 or 8 and another time on a bunk bed when she was around 12.

“Before we left the room or left any place, he would say we weren’t doing anything – we were just laying there or we were just playing hide-and-seek,” said the woman, whose voice cracked as she recounted the events.” He would always make sure that he told me that. And I didn’t know. I was a kid. I didn’t know any better.”

The acts typically involved “a lot of kissing, groping. He would put his hands under my shirt and just rub and grab my chest and put his hands down my pants again,” the woman said.

The woman said that she had been traumatized by what happened and that she had blocked much of it from her mind. She said she had been too ashamed to tell anyone, including her parents. But she said she also feared that no one would believe her because Mr. Zimmerman came across as so likable.

“He just sucked up to my dad,” she said. “He was like the son he never had. He was always very charming and personable with everyone in the family and would always just laugh and entertain everybody. But he was different behind closed doors with me.”

The last encounter, and the only one that took place in Florida, occurred shortly after Mr. Zimmerman arrived in Lake Mary, not far from where she lived with her family, the woman said. She was 16 and Mr. Zimmerman was 18. He had invited her to a housewarming gathering, she said. When she arrived inside, he was alone.

Frightened, she said, she followed his instructions and lay down on the bed, and he started groping her again. At that point, she said, she got up, ran out and jumped into her car. He followed her to the door but no farther, she said.

Always, she said, “I was so afraid.”

In 2005, when the woman was 19, she confided in her sister who told their parents, she said. She and her parents met with Mr. Zimmerman at a pizzeria in Lake Mary, she said. But she never described to them the full extent of the molesting, she said.

“Instead of talking about it, all he did was come in the room, come in the restaurant, and sat down on the end of the booth and said, ‘I’m sorry,’ and just got up and walked out,” she said.

Her mother thought it best not to pursue criminal charges, she said, adding that they believed that Mr. Zimmerman would just deny the accusations and that the case would be dropped.
The witness said there had been a lasting effect.

“I tried so hard to forget it all and to make it go away that I even forgot the good stuff in life,” she said. “There is things that my family talks about that sounded so awesome but I don’t remember them. It sounds like they are talking about somebody else.”

Mr. Zimmerman’s parents were also told about what had happened, she said. After she and her parents confronted Mr. Zimmerman, they did not see him again. He was never invited to any get-togethers where she was present.

In the other tape, the woman said the Zimmerman family had talked about race often and disparaged African-Americans. Mr. Zimmerman’s family said “they only like black people if they act like white people,” she said.

The killing of Mr. Martin set off a furor among African-Americans because of the suspicion that Mr. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, and the Sanford police had profiled Mr. Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old, because he was black. Mr. Zimmerman shot and killed him on Feb. 26 in a nighttime encounter at the gated community in Sanford, Fla., where Mr. Martin was a guest.
