WHAT'S A CONSERVATIVE VOTER TO DO??

I keep hearing the conservative voices on radio and T.V. promoting Giuliani and Romney as the top runners because they are "electable"...and the reason they are "electable" is because they are not true conservatives. There is an across the aisle appeal for them to the American public. That is why they don't think Tancredo, Paul or Hunter could ever win...thus they are not getting the true conservatives a voice on radio and T.V.

So...am I to vote for a rhino conservative forerunner (holding my nose all the way) so that a Democrat doesn't get the Whitehouse...or...

Do I follow my conscience and cast my vote for a true conservative who most people are ignorant of, running the risk of a wasted vote and a Democrat in the White House...or...

In protest to it all, don't vote and let the chips fall where they may?

My other issue is also this...

If the Republican party keeps diluting its core values and convictions just so that they can get an "electable" candidate...how far will they keep watering these values and convictions down from election to election just so they can have a President in the White House? If they keep on that slippery slope, it won't be many four year elections down the road before the Republican Party stands for nothing!!

We also need to watch this big push for Fred Thompson by the media lateley. He's a member of the CFR, something we definately don't want in the White House. The idiot residing there now is mentally challenged and should be releived of duty.

Hi, it is The Council on Foreign Relations. It could be considered a "think tank" of sorts.

Many believe it will sink America as we know it and create a brand new "let's all hold hands," and sink together North American Union with our boundaries at the edge of Mexico and Canada. America would lose her sovereignty and be a mere part of a larger scheme.

The Council on Foreign Relations is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to improving the understanding of U.S. foreign policy and international affairs through its Studies Program, Meetings Program, and other activities, including p ublication of Foreign Affairs, the preeminent periodical in the field.

Some others can respond to your question in greater detail I hope.

Sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales and the Canadian Council of Chief Executives
Three former high-ranking government officials from Canada, Mexico, and the United States call for a North American economic and security community by 2010 to address shared security threats, challenges to competitiveness, and interest in broad-based development across the three countries.

The idea to form the North American Union as a super-NAFTA knitting together Canada, the United States and Mexico into a super-regional political and economic entity was a key agreement resulting from the March 2005 meeting held at Baylor University in Waco, Tex., between President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin.

Think I'll do a little research on this CFR, then I'll email Freddy and ask him some questions, huh?

I agree about the conservative issue. I get sickened when the talking heads say conservatives need to move to the center if they wish to survive. What a pile of crap!!!

I DO NOT agree with not voting. You need to vote for the candidate that best agrees with you. I know some will disagree with me on that premise, but whether or not you vote, someone is going to get elected, so you might as well vote for the person you would rather have in. You know, pick your poison.

If you don't vote and Hillary gets elected, you can say "she's not my president because I didn't vote for her", but she is still literally your president and will undoubtly be working hard to turn our country into the USSR. In fact, I don't know any of the Dems that don't want to turn the US into the USSR. Of course, then you have the open borders/NAU Republicans. Of the front-runners, Romney SEEMS not to be an open borders/NAU guy. Here's to hoping Tancredo and/or Hunter can get a ginormous campaign shot of steroids and move to the top tier. Not holding my breath, but they would be great VPs. The third party of Hagel, Bloomberg, or possibly Paul wouldn't stand a chance. They would win some of the disgruntled Republican votes, but that would put the Dems in the White House. Not what I want to see!!!

I not sure that Thompson is a member of THE CFR. When he was in the Senate he was a member of the Senate CFR, which is not the same as the so-called non-partisan think tank. Also, someone posted awhile back that Thompson's Senate voting record was suspect. Anyone have details on that?

The CFR is much more than a think tank, they are an elite club of 600 rich and influential Americans, many of their members hold positions in our government. They are essentially a "shadow government" who get many laws and policies passed for their benefit at our expense.

Check out Thompsons record on immigration.

There are some good things, but too many that I disagree with.

TyRant I have to agree with you on not voting. My Father always used to tell my Mother(who didn't vote), if you didn't vote, be quiet, you don't have a right to complain.

He was right too. So, when I vote and if Billary Clinton (heaven forbid) or anyone of the these dems that are running wins, I will then claim I don't have a President. NO ONE will ever hear me say President Cli**** or any other lame dem they have running.
