companies that hire out to Pakistani's?

I am so fed up with calling a help line and having some limited
English speaking Pakistani or other Middle Easterner handle
my phone call. They ALWAYS mess it up! This time my order
is wrong and my name is misspelled and now they want me
to send them a LEGAL document with my name spelled the
correct way! This is Mervyn's by the way and Home Depot.

Why can't they hire AMERICANS to do this job? WE AMERICANS
are the customers so isn't it RIGHT that we at least have the
opportunity to speak with people who UNDERSTAND us? They
call on holidays they know NOTHING about!! (Mother's Day, Easter)
and you have to hang up b/c they wont' take no for an answer!

I have told both managers at these companies that I do not
appreciate speaking with someone from Pakistan. Of course I
was brushed off!

Okay that was MY vent for today. Of course illegals are worse
but these nut cases are a close second. Damn sell outs.

HAHA!! I flip out on those people when either they call or I get them on the phone. I lose my mind! I've had to call a few companies I deal with and have them STOP calling me unless something having to do with fraud is going on. I'll even take on an accent and have some fun, but that got old also...now my phone almost never rings.

I agree! I called Southern Bell about a telephone change and got someone who sounded Indian. So I nicely asked her where her call center was and she gave me a city in India. Ok, now here's someone in a foreign country (and she may be very nice and honest) who has all my info including credit card info. There has been ID theft from these out sourced jobs. To be fair, there's ID theft by Americans too, but I just don't think that folk in foreign countries have the same REASONS that most Americans do to be honest with our info.

When I complained to the company here, I was told, 'that's the way it is.'

LOL.......do what I do { and many others} and it works!

Refuse to speak to anyone who is not American. Eventually, you will be forwarded back to an American in customer service. Also, be sure to complain to the American you do eventually speak to.

to speak to an AMERICAN! Good grief I can't believe some of the
stuff that goes on.

I just saw on the news Sunday that India is now out sourcing Americans to answer their phone lines for them. They said that business is so good they can't hire enough of their own citizens, so they are now hiring Americans.

I shall hire on, performing 300 of those jobs, and have 300 Laos mountain tribe people do the task for peanuts. A few bananas, and a couple goats per month!!!!!!

You are correct there is tremendous opportunity for theft identiy overseas with the outsourcing of all of our information. We have enough problems handling our very own home grown criminals. Should we really go looking for them overseas.

Here is something you should ask your doctors. Ask them where there medical transcription is performed for their office. I am a medical transcriptionist and we have been screaming for years about outsourcing of medical transcription to India. We are giving our medical information to foreign nations also, and it is no longer just India any longer either. Just another front on which you fight globalism.

I have a physical in a couple of month. I'll be sure to ask about the transcriptions.
