When elite feel pain, borders will tighten
When elite feel pain, borders will tighten
In response to "Does Observer care about rule of law?" (Nov. 30 Forum):
Instead of entitling illegal immigrants to in-state tuition, let's give them full scholarships -- as long as they're accepted into the Kennedy School of Government, Wharton or Harvard or Yale law schools.
Only when our government leaders see the gilded futures of their own progeny threatened by highly educated illegals will they act to stem the tide.
The notion they care about the common worker having to compete with illegals is a gossamer fancy at best.
