More Russia sniping - admitting more to NATO. That doesn't sound good.

NATO should have been disbanded decades ago.

Eisenhower, an architect of NATO, is reported as saying, "If it is still in operation in 10 years, it's a failure."

NATO, like many - most - good ideas has been taken over by those who can see potential for profit - for long range profit. It is very good for those who sell military supplies. They want to keep it going so they can have excuses to sell and use their very expensive products. It has become something totally different than it's intention .

Maybe that is what Eisenhower feared with this statement, and his 'military industrial complex' speech.

After all, we don't mind China (used to be Red China) taking over the world, building up a military that is unbelievable. China is still an admitted communist country - while Russia is not.

Time to get rid of this and make other countries have their own military if they feel the need, and let the military suppliers hawk their wares to each and every country - see how that works for them.

But Russia sniping gives the war profiteers a boogeyman. There is no way they are going after China. For one thing, too many are making money in China. Their ideology is first and foremost - money.

Isn't it odd how the fear of communism seems to fade in the glow of 'golden profits'?
