White House website clarification about AMNESTY

White House website clarification about what is meant by "amnesty:"

"The President Supports A Rational Middle Ground Between A Program Of Mass Deportations And A Program Of Automatic Amnesty.

"No amnesty. Workers who have entered the country illegally and workers who have overstayed their visas must pay a substantial penalty for their illegal conduct."

"no amnesty." Illegals who have entered our country illegally must go back home and will NEVER be eligible for entry into our country again.

That's the penalty I would like to see the White House impose on those that willfully break our immigration laws.

The Administration thinks a fine and a slap on the wrist sets everything right.Where is the justice for the American people in this?

MASS DEPORTATION would not be necessary if immigration laws were only ENFORCED. They would deport themselves over a perior of years and business and the ecomony would not be affected. Americans would absorb the lost.
When deportation is mentioned, mass deportation is always the excuse that it cannot be "wisely"done. It can be done by deportation over a period of time also.

Mass deportation would not be needed if they conducted more raids and severly punished employers. If we ever get the damn fence built, accompany this with continuing raids and strict employer enforcement, I would be willing to bet that many illegals may go home on their own.

    White House Clarification

Any Guest Worker Program should allow local authorities to enforce immigration law.
The government "says" they will enforce employer penalties.
    DON'T BELIEVE IT.
Allow local enforcement and watch how fast the illegals leave.....deportation or on their own.
Something has to change and more government promises will NOT do it.

Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother

Exactly! That has been my argument for years. In my community I push the message; "don't house, or hire illegals". If everyone followed that logic, they would self-deport. I don't understand the government. It doesn't have to be 'mass deportations' and 'rounding people up'. All we have to do is take away the jobs, the freebies, and the housing. Simple. Or am I looking at this too "narrowly" as I am often told.
    Deportacion? Si Se Puede!

    whitehouse and amnesty

Bush wants to give all illegals citizenship and amnesty regardless of what he says. We need to deport all illegals after securing the border. Then we should look at what America needs. No one even knows if we need a guest worker program. It is time for Americans to have their country back and not have it given away by someone who thinks that illegals have more rights than citizens.

I think Beckyal is right on the button!

George wants many more Hispanic to invade America. If he could get away with it we would have zero border control with Mexico and a simple form to become a citizen. If he had his way another 100 million would live with us by next year.

The need for a guest worker program is not proven (we can do a lot with machines now) and any guest worker program must not include citizenship for the workers or their children.

The American government was designed to be run by US and many of our problems are a result of Americans giving up the reins to a self serving monster government.
It's our Nation lets run it! I want to see more in the order of National referendums were we decide issues such as immigration or credit spending.
