One statement in that release says: "... the bill unveiled in the Senate today is, "amnesty, pure and simple", and should be opposed by all Americans at all levels of government."

Check his track record....He voted YES for the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act in 2006.

That Act requires public employers to verify the legal status of all new employees beginning on July 1, 2007. The bill also specifies that private employers cannot deduct wages paid to unauthorized employees on their taxes and that six percent of compensation paid to an individual without a correct taxpayer identification number will be withheld. The bill requires the verification of legal entry of any individual 18 or older applying for state or local public aid, except for certain benefits including emergency benefits, prenatal and postsecondary education benefits.

That double-speak is saying that the State is supposed to get 6% of an illegal alien's wages. (And I think it's so grand that there are exceptions for illegals to receive State financial assistance to go to college. )

DOUBLE-SPEAK!! What side of the fence is he on?

I've asked myself that as Whitehead voted yes on clocture so in other wards for amnesty, I think they are trying to confuse us on purpose so that says they can not be trusted under any circumstances, PERIOD.
