    Plot Thickens

I think it's fairly clear, McCain hasn't been listening.

Conservative Evangelical Leaders Advocate Comprehensive Immigration Reform (01-31-07)

A multi-cultural group of prominent conservative evangelical leaders promoted comprehensive immigration reform in Washington, DC on January 31. The leaders articulated the evangelical case for a compassionate and practical immigration policy at a midday press conference hosted by the Reform Institute and We Care America. The group also met with key members of Congress, such as House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) and Senator John McCain (R-AZ), as well as with the staff of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

The group included Rev. Samuel Hernandez, President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC); Dr. Juan Hernandez, Senior Fellow of the Reform Institute’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform Initiative; Dr. Derrick Harkins, Pastor of the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church in Washington; Noel Castellanos, Executive Director of the Christian Community Development Association; and Marcos Witt, Latin Grammy Award-winning musician and Senior Pastor of the Hispanic Congregation at Lakewood Church.

The group represents a larger bloc of the evangelical community that dispels the popular perception that all Christian conservatives oppose immigration reform that provides opportunities for immigrants to stay and work in this country in addition to strong enforcement and border security. They are committed to uniting and mobilizing the evangelical community to support comprehensive reform.

If you go to the URL there is a picture of John McCain and Hernandez is included in the photo op. So, the attachment to Juan Hernandez isn't new. It just hasn't been very vocal. So much for straight talk.

Juan has to be on drugs or something. He was like a 4 year old telling lies that everyone can see through. "There are no criminals there," or "There is no identity theft". That guy is loco. Makes me think McCain is probably just as loco.

If those are the types of people that run the Mexican government then it is no wonder that so many want to leave.
