Why are we paying for a Border fence in Egypt?

US To Help Egypt Build Border Fence

    March 22, 2008 8:14 a.m. EST
Joseph Mayton - AHN Middle East Correspondent

Cairo, Egypt (AHN) - The United States has announced that it is planning to help Egypt build a border fence along the Gaza-Egypt border. Washington transferred $23 million worth of special aid to the North African nation as part of its assistance in locating smuggling tunnels.

Over the past few months, smuggling between Gaza and Egypt has garnered more attention in light of the Israeli economic blockade on the small Mediterranean strip of land. Israel is calling on Egypt to improve its crackdown on Palestinian smuggling, which the Jewish state says allows weapons to enter Gaza that are then used against southern Israel.

The planned fence between Egypt and Gaza will employ technology directed at preventing the fence from being damaged. This is in response to Palestinian militants who blew a hole in the current wall between the two nations that allowed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to flock into Egypt late January and early February.

The American Army Corps of Engineers plans to send teams to Egypt to help push forward the border fence plans.

No timetable has been given yet as to when the wall will be constructed

While building the wall, the Americans also hope to help Egyptian security forces locate and destroy smuggling tunnels into Gaza

Israel has welcomed the move, saying that American participation will help end the movement of weapons into Gaza.

So I am very glad this was posted. It made me so angry I didn't really know what to say. What even squirts lighter fluid on the problem is Israels involvement. The Israeli press is touting this as the US "helping" to stop smuggling.

The US is sending the Amry corps of Engineers to build the fence.

Does anyone really have to list the millions of times we have had to ENDURE the nonsense rhetoric and vile propaganda that surrounds the absolute refusal to build a fence on our border?!?!?!

...Amos Gilad, head of the political-military bureau at the Defense Ministry, traveled to Washington this week to speak with US officials about an arrangement with the Egyptians over the border fence. ...
So basically this Israeli just stops by Washington and asks for $23 million dollars and they not only give them an aid package but also promise to build it for them, with the Army Corps of Engineers, within 3 months! I cannot believe I am reading this...Hamas hasn't killed anywhere near the amount of people illegals from Mexico have. But all that it takes a foreigner from Israel to visit the White House, ring their servants and our eager officials decide to build a fence? Our own government chides us and mocks us and refuses to listen to us. We shut down the phone system in the halls of corruption with our outrage, yet this facist snaps his fingers and our government saunters over with care and concern. Should I make mention that he is a member of a political-military bureau?

There is no question as to the true intentions of the American government now. We are being ruled by tyrants, and whether or not this makes its way onto the "reality ridden" authoritarian altar of journalism, it is absolutely so. We are being ruled by the greatest of tyrants. Who here can claim that this hypocrisy is not a the hilt sunk dagger that penetrates right through our spine? If betrayal thrust its fat laurels anymore into the limelight we would be blinded by its shadow. Sure it is true that people may see many situations differently, we bring to our thoughts reason, comprehension and analytical spirit, this is what makes us different from savages. Only a slave has the constitution to endure humiliation and scorn, free people make no concession to injustice and not a single person who claims to love liberty would allow their spirit to be broken. Yet we take lash after lash right across our face, looking only to one another for confirmation that we indeed see the lash being delivered with furious might. Our governments intention is very clear, but it is not their obviousness that most concerns me, it is that quivering olive branch we extend everytime we take one in the gut and lie slumped over winded and in pain. Our treasury is at the disposal of facists, zealots and corporate interests, the jack booted thugs of Mexican Nationalism saturate our cities and our own leaders mock us and cut us down with indignation from their propaganda machine. Yet they call daily for our taxes and our compliance with laws they see fit to ignore! I am tired of gasping for air, for retreating away from what we all know is in our hearts and minds. For our government another day of treason in their thieves guild, for me another day of servitude. They spend our liberty like a morning prostitute eager to emtpy her bulging purse after a long nights work.

This betrayal will never leave my mind. We must revolt against this, we have no choice. The federal government would love nothing more than to strangle us to death, cast us aside like human waste so it can build its Federal empire on our rotting corpses. But I wont let them do it, I do not have in me the ability to lay down, to endure any more. I say if they will not listen, then it is time to whisper once again under that Liberty tree...

Of course this is how I feel...What say you?

Remember when this was found on the Mexican Border?

Maybe that would be sufficient to get this Israeli motivated to lobby for us? Because our government would rather listen to him, than us...

Good to know this piece of shit can order my government around to the point where it pays for a fence in a foreign muslim country, to protect a socialist militaristic country, where there is conscription and the military is used for economic reasons. Remember when Bush, open borders advocates and reconquistas, powered by their friends in the media (O'Reilly and the entire left) kept visciously denying that a fence would work. Every leftist says a fence wouldn't work. Our president says fences don't work. That building a wall can't stop things. So why the **** are they building a $23 million dollar wall in Egypt? This says it all!

    Article Excerpt:
    ...Fence called 'impractical'
Bush spoke against the border fence as "impractical" on Tuesday, a day before leaving for Mexico to meet with Mexican President Vicente Fox.

The proposed border fence has become a symbol of the get-tough, anti-illegal immigration House bill that has drawn protests from immigrant activists.

House leaders view the fence as a key deterrent to human-smuggling and drug-trafficking.

"I will stand by that (fence) issue, I think the Congress will stand by that issue. What we want is results," Hastert said.

The House bill would impose criminal penalties on illegal immigrants and employers who hire them. The leadership did not allow consideration of a temporary worker visa.

Frist, who has promised that the Senate will produce a comprehensive bill, faulted the House legislation for its narrow focus on enforcement. On the other hand, Frist said on the Senate floor, the Specter bill "goes too far" because it offers amnesty, which will "encourage future and further disrespect for the law."

But Specter firmly disagreed, saying that immigrants faced significant hurdles before getting green cards or citizenship. .

    WHAT? This is CRAZY!

23 Million would go a long way securing our own fence. We need to stop illegal aliens from coming here. Especially the MS-13 and drug cartel thugs.

Yep, that is what our government works for....foreign interests.....Be it globalist corporations or Israel, that is what our government works for. They don't twiddle their thumbs, bide their time, and make excuses. If Israel wants it done, they will do it. They also know that fences work, they just do not want it for us. I would say it is fair to say that our government cares more for Israel than it does the United States of America.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

You don't understand the BIG PICTURE, a Border Security Fence in North Africa will NOT prevent Cheap Labor from entering the United States thus NO opposition from the ELITIST CONTRIBUTORS, the Chamber of Commerce, ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS, and other SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS that run the United States via our Elitist Politicians.
