Why would you piss off your base voters?

Why would the Republican party want to anger Republicans like me by giving amnesty? What do they not understand? I will stop voting Republican if ANY amnesty is approved. I will not vote Democrat either. I will vote on tax issues but I will leave ALL the candidates blank.

If the Republicans want to act like D's then to hell with all of them.

To think these Republican senators care more about illegals and their potential votes is just senseless is it not? Why would Ken Mellman want to alienate the anti-illegal Republican base?

    Silly! Just silly!
The Democrats want to give the country away and the Republicans want to sell it?

The thing is - it is not just a matter of selling out their base voters - they are selling out themselves.

When the illegals get the vote and they will - they will elect Mexican politicians. These white and black politicians will be history. Ten years - no less.

    Don't they know that???

They are sawing of the limb they are sitting on.

Yep, smells of money and they are looking at the large potential voting block (you know who). I've never seen the party so split apart. We can largely thank Senator McCain for that. Democrats can just sit back now and watch the Republicans destroy themselves.

THEY THINK WE DON'T VOTE AND DON'T MATTER. We need to do everything we can to make sure those that do vote are legal citizens.

    Just wait.

They have sold us down the river and NOW IT IS OUR TURN.

But, Jean, they are not going to vote Republican or Democrat - at least not for the people in there currently or the ones waiting in the wings.

They are going to vote in Mexican people - not this bunch of clowns.

This is suicide and they have to know it.

Mexican people usually vote Democrat, that has been the case in California where hispanic people are in office now. California has lost the war on illegal immigration but I am hoping other states will open their eyes and see, there state will be next. This is all like a big nightmare!

Don't rats abandon a sinking ship when they know it's sinking? Of course they do. The Republican party conservative base is abandoning the sinking Republican party. By the same token, the Republican politicians who voted in support of the senate bill are abandoning the sinking USA.

I don't think they truly care about their political futures. These fools who voted for amnesty are setting themselves up for the future. And they believe the future is globalism. Look how many politicians leave office and wait the one year time period and then get into lobbying. They get more leverage with lobbying their own "birds of a feather" outside of office than inside of office.

Call it a conspiracy when you mention these points to the average American and you'll look like a fool to that person. Better to point out the communists and socialists who have taken control of the illegals and then you'll get more Americans to wake up. At least I hope they'll wake up.

Because they're hoping we'll sweep this under a rug and go on with our daily lives as usual. But they are sadly mistaken, we have just begun. The illegal alien issue is far from over. The Minutemen in San Diego are alive and kicking and will continue shutting down day labor sites.

I agree, we will not forget this. I will never never forget this. I've learned more about the Senators of this country in the past week than I have in my entire life (and I'm not young). We will not just let this go, too much at stake. Just emailed my congressman too to be strong and keep sanity in government.
