Thread: A Win-Win For Bush: Bring Troops Home To Defend US Borders!

As George Bush continues to flounder in a hopeless sea of incompetence and confusion, his political strategists are surely looking for a situation that can reverse the president's fortunes in one bold, dramatic move. Here is an idea that can kill two birds with one stone, and bring GW back into favor with the voting public:

Announce the immediate withdrawal of 50,000 US troops from Iraq and reassignment of same to the US-Mexico border. This move will silence Bush war critics while addressing the critical border problems that make terrorism and illegal immigration from Mexico so dangerous.

Please, Mr. Bush, take an intelligent and prudent step to defend America from terrorism at our own borders!

Don't hold your breath John. This makes too much common sense & common sense is only one of the things this administration's short on.

We have been pushing that idea here for almost a year.

Yep....we sure have but it remains a very sound idea with one change...Bring All the Troops Home except special forces working under cover out of sight and those involved in building/staffing the base if we are to have a base in Iraq.

Bring over 120,000 troops home now. Leave 40,000 like we have in South Korea who...BTW.....has a Real Enemy waiting to invade....North Korea.

How about bringing 120,000 home and assigning 50,000 to the border and the other 70,000 to the task of hunting down and deporting the 15 million illegals in the US?

Some will object to using the military domestically, but we are really talking about fighting a foreign enemy in our midst!

The more President Bush flounders and struggles with hopeless imcompetance the better --

He must be Impeached and Removed from Office and put on trial for treason so we can rescind the documents he signed binding the American People under international law.

When he hears American speak, I believe he can be relied upon to enforce our laws and do no harm.

I'm sure he voted for CAFTA and all the FTA's, and from this standpoint would be a Traitor too. But probably with less energy; less insanity; less of all the bad stuff and more of the good stuff.
