I am NOT Alone!
OMG! I am not alone!
Someone else sees it the way I do and isn't afraid to say so!
"I don’t think Americans can improve their lot by participating in national politics under the current rules of the national game. I think they have to change the rules. They have to end the Union and get out from under the existing Constitution, which is now entirely controlled and interpreted by the national government."

I have my own opinion of what is needed to fix the problem but I will not post them here.
However I'm sure some would agree with my assessment

They knew
They knew the nature of Mexican racism and Nationalism a long time ago. This is why that border was put there in the first place. It wasnt to protect Mexicans from Americans. It was put there for just the opposite reason.

i for one do NOT agree with you ....
Our government has problems , our government has HAD problems ...
our government in MANY ways reflects us as a people ... the immigration dilema needed to be worked on many many years ago , but we got lazy , and now it's become a huge problem , just like what will happen to social security ... put off to tomrrow what needs to be done today , that's the american way ...
i attended the protests here in Phoenix for many days as an observer .. for the first 4 days i didn't see a SINGLE counter protestor , on the final day of protests i saw roughly 5 .....
Now there are hundreds of thousands of citizens in the state of arizona who feel just like we do about illegal immigration , but at the end of the day , they can't be bothered to come out and protest ..
So , don't cry too hard about our situation , we've made our bed , now we're lying in it ... we're just going to have to do the best we can with what limited resources and personel possible in order to save the union .
The one bright spot about our struggle is that while the oppostion has the numbers ( illegal numbers ) their command structure is as weak as ours , and we DO have the silent majority ..

Keep in mind that a lot of those protesters were hired, paid seiu goons , enablers and illegals
Joe citizen has a hard time making ends meet and can't just take a day off work or whatever , I'M NOT MAKING EXCUSES
Also having been to more than a few of these shindigs , if your in the opposition , its dangerous , you can be attacked , spit on and worse
Most of the time the police will take their side if your attacked by them.
We still somewhat have the legal vote for now and like you say, the silent majority which has enough clout to shut down the Senate switchboard
Will it be enough in the near future?
Probably not

The country trusted the government to do the right thing. People are still in shock and disbelief. Why should they have to come out and support what is already law? And most simply are afraid...the IA are very scary and who wants to be involved with that!?
Hopefully Nov. will be a turning point...

This is a good place to learn about what happened to our "organic" original constitution. It will bring a tear to your eye...or at least a knot in your stomach.

-- Illegal aliens, who are richer than Americans with their CASH jobs, so they can also get WELFARE, FOOD STAMPS, FREE MEDICAL (USA hospitals used as general practitioners), EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS used as baby sitters and for FREE lifetime educations (so they don't have to work, but can be paid to go to school for life), and a horde of other FREE tax dollar benefits they don't have to pay back EVER - though they STOLE THE MONEY after they STOLE ACROSS USA'S borders.
