Thread: I almost lost my shirt

After working very hard for the last 13 years in my own business, i had to sell it at below valued price, practically gave it away for peanuts, since i could not longer compete with other larger buisnesses that operate and compete with me, SINCE THEY USE ILLEGAL LABOR AND CAN UNDERPRICE MY SERVICES!! My clients just like Walmart went to the lowest priced Subcontractor!! in this case a company that is larger and continues to Prosper , the are expanding rapidly in my area and making many other legit business owners like me Shut down!!
This guy is making so much money is sick!! off course paying low wages and no benefits, labor taxes etc.

I am a parent of 2 kids, married and I have worked by the Book, i had to sell my home, biz and everything so we can survive.
This is War fellows, war on the American family. I relocated now to The Tar Heel State to Start Fresh, the sad part is I see more of the same here, Luckyly i have skills and credentials that can only be obtain by an American Citizen of good standing.

I am sorry for your outcome How many other people have been driven out of business because of employers who hire illegals and reap the benefits I wish you and your family the best.

Isn't it sad our government allows this to happen?

Email all of your Reps., and send letters to the editor of your newspaper...tell them what happened to you!

I agree it absolutely is. I'm sorry a hard working, long time business owner & honest American can't seem to make a go in America. Something is very wrong with that picture!

Sorry to hear this Latino, I lost my last job for exactly the same reason.

Latino, I wish more small businesses would look into the RICO act before things get to far along. I wish a lot of small businesses would ban together and file class action suits against the employers hiring illegals. It would be great if someone could form an organization with lawyers to protect the rights of the small businesses against the wolves!

What the Federal Government is doing goes way beyond allowing I believe. They are clearly behind this illegal invasion and need to be held accountable.

Writing your news paper sounds like a good idea to me. Writing and telling everyone else's newspapers may be even better.

I am a contractor in florida . I have found a way to stop some of the companys that hire illegals , its not perfect but it has worked . Call the workers comp office they have actually showed up half the time . All I can say is its better than nothing and it has worked believe it or not a goverment agancy actually responded to an American citizen .

Boy, when i read stuff like this, it really piss's me off (pardon my Scottish Temper). I'm sorry latino for your situation and i hope you manage to start afresh and best wish's to your family.
