Thank you , straw guy. I found my info on the contributors to La Raza, and Home Despot is on the list.
http://www.mnforsustain.org/immg_la_raz ... unders.htm
I think we have our Number 1 target of the Boycott. Your information puts the icing on the cake.
We know it doesn't have a parent company. So I guess the next step is to research Lowe's to see if it is involving itself in the same mess.
I am reposting the La Raza, Lulac and Maldef funders here. I got this from a posting on Sreinreport, and the poster says to share it.
Steph says:
I have not had a chance to research MIRA yet, but they sound very similar to LaRaza, MALDEF, MEChA, and LULAC. Most people have been conditioned to think of these groups as “left-wingâ€http://www.soldiersangels.com Adopt a Soldier

GM contributes $ millions to National Council of The Race
The National Council of La Raza [The Race] and General Motors jointly
announced today a $2.5 million GM contribution to the National Council of La
Raza's "Empowering an American Community Campaign." The funds will go
specifically to purchase a centrally-located building in Washington, D.C.
The building will serve as the organization's headquarters.

I was waiting for this press release. If some of the diehard racists in here
had any idea how much they contributed to convincing the right officers of GM
that La Raza was an appropriate cause, they'd have a heart attack.
Just remember: keep up the good work, and keep writing more anti-Hispanic
hatemail!
Oh, yeah. Finch, I'm 99% sure that you're on GM's "do not employee" list.
I've heard your inconsequential little opinion and rejected it. Just like
society rejected you.

Bank of America challenges Washington Mutual for Monument criminal cash
(http://vikingphoenix.com/blog/monument/monument.html)
NOTE: Bank of America is fighting back. After Washington Mutual Bank
announced a few years ago that they would honor the phony Mexican
Matricula Consular used by illegal immigrants for identification, Bank
of America determined to regain the competitive edge for criminal
dollars and subversion of the U.S. economy by billions of dollars in
remittances to Mexico. "Bank of America supports illegal immigration.
BofA proud to be subversive." - Blade Runner Nation.

Ah, this is the initiative that is opposed by both Republicans and
Democrats alike, because it spends additional money to combat a problem
that hasn't been demonstrated to exist, and doesn't make anything
illegal that isn't already illegal. Rather, it simply creates
additional red tape and bureaucracy. It's a waste of money.
Where's the evidence of voter fraud by illegal aliens? Why throw up
all this red tape rather than perform audits on voter registration
records?
Finally, is the white separatist, Virginia Abernethy, still running
PAN2004's national operations?
This proposition is opposed by the Republicans, the Democrats, the
Libertarians, the Greens, and the Communists. It's opposed by the
governor, the mayors of Phoenix and Tucson, and the entire Arizona
Congressional delegation. How often do those all agree on anything?

there was a problem getting this entire article -
just go to google- go to groups- then enter "National council of la raza "
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.poli ... 7566c56f7b
Industry observers say the move, like the company's previous hiring
partnerships with senior citizen and military groups, will help
Atlanta-based Home Depot tap into a valuable customer niche. By 2008,
the company says, Hispanics are expected to have roughly $1 trillion
in annual purchasing power.
"Matching the profile of your associate workforce with the profile of
your targeted or existing customer has always been a practice that has
helped retailers enhance the store experience," said Michael Brown, a
retail specialist at consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates.
Arizona likely will be a hot spot of Hispanic hiring for Home Depot.
The state boasts a Latino population of 1.3 million, of which tens of
thousands speak Spanish. As the number of Hispanic residents grows, so
does their economic power. Marketing firm Synnovate, using U.S. Census
Bureau data, ranks the Phoenix metropolitan area ninth nationally
among Hispanics, with $11 billion in spending power in 2004.
Many big companies already are targeting the Spanish-speaking
population with services and advertisements, including Qwest
Communications International Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Home Depot is partnering with a few national Hispanic organizations,
including the National Council of La Raza.
Lisa Navarrete, La Raza spokeswoman, said Home Depot's move signals an
understanding of the significance of Hispanic consumers.
"We believe this project is the first step," Navarrete said.
She envisions broader training and recruitment programs in the future.
Other partners are the ASPIRA Association, Hispanic Association of
Colleges and SER-Jobs for Progress National.
Home Depot rival Lowe's Companies Inc., based in Mooresville, N.C.,
has worked with employment agencies in several states to help
diversify its workforce of 160,000 people. It also has worked with the
military to hire soldiers looking to go into the private sector.
While Lowe's has not implemented any formal national hiring
partnerships with the Hispanic community, it has tried to boost the
number of Hispanic employees at stores in communities that are
predominantly Hispanic. The 1,075-store chain has done that at stores
in parts of southern Florida, Texas and California.
"There is certainly a business advantage to having a workforce that
reflects the community," Lowe's spokeswoman Chris Ahearn said.
Home Depot, with 1,890 stores and 325,000 employees, launched a hiring
partnership in September with the departments of Defense, Labor and
Veterans Affairs to recruit military job seekers. A year ago, it also
announced a hiring partnership with the AARP to recruit seniors. Home
Depot then expanded that program in December, when it said it would
test a plan to mark retail products with a seal of approval for people
50 and over.
While the company would not release figures, it said those initiatives
have helped its business efficiency and sales. The company said the
move to recruit Hispanic employees seemed like a logical extension.
"Sales have increased substantially over the four years that we've
really been at a lot of these things," said Dennis Donovan, Home
Depot's executive vice president of human resources. "The performance
information that we have is very positive. So, I don't think it's a
big step to say there is some correlation here."
Reporter Christine L. Romero contributed to this article.
