Great letter, ProudAmerican!

If the NYT was trying to make a statement...it backfired big time! All I see is a proud American who is not ashamed of flying the AMERICAN FLAG! A true patriot!

Now if the NYT really wants to exhibit truth in reporting...why not a full page photo of a neighborhood that has been overtaken and trashed by illegals with 20 third worlders living in one trailer in the backyard of a run down shack full of more illegals with garbage and trash littering the streets, chickens and roosters running loose, beer cans overflowing in the trash cans, mariachi music blasting all night, and 30 old junkers lining the streets And don't forget the photos of the Mexican flag that is replacing Old Glory!

I can't say I much care about what the NYtimes thinks either...I'm sure I would disagree with 99% of what they think, and proud to disagree with them!

ChromDome: I've met a few Appalachian-area folks over the years, and I consider them the salt of the earth. They were very patriotic and humble people with a good dose of common sense. I consider most anyone who is a true patriot a friend of mine. I was at a gathering several weeks ago with a number of immigration activists. They were of all ages and from all walks of life. We were bound by our common interest, and as I sat there listening to their stories and concerns I thought to myself, "Ah, yes, these are my people".
