Reply from Feinstein RE AG Workers

Thank you for writing to me about the immigration reform debate that has been taking place during the 110th Congress.

The current immigration system is not working - our borders are broken, our national security is compromised, and there is no feasible way to identify and deal with the 10 to 12 million undocumented people now living in the United States. I understand there were mixed reactions to the bipartisan bill that the Senate considered and that there are very strong feelings about this issue. I believe that while that bill was not perfect, it was a reasonable compromise.

Unfortunately, the comprehensive immigration reform bill has stalled in the Senate. Therefore, I believe the next step must be to pass the individual priorities contained within the larger bill, starting with the "Agricultural Job Opportunities, Benefits and Security Act of 2007" (AgJOBS). AgJOBS is an important bill to address the current labor shortage facing agriculture today. It will allow certain undocumented agricultural workers to legalize their immigration status in the United States if they can show that they have been working in agriculture and commit to continue working in agriculture for three to five years. It will also reform the current H-2A agricultural guest worker program to streamline the process for applying for a legal workforce.

Again, thank you for writing. I have enclosed a copy of a floor statement I gave when immigration reform was first brought up for debate for your review, so that you may better understand my position on this issue. I hope that you will continue to write on matters of importance to you. Best regards.

Well thank you nicie for posting her reply . I can truly see now how great her logic is and the fine case she makes for her amnesty . As long as i have on my rose tinted glasses and my bank account has lots of 0's . Since neither is true , glasses or 0's . She's an over blown Elites windbag that should have never been voted back in office .
So far i haven't received a reply from anyone ?

Californians are stuck with her for another 4 years which is enough to make me cry.

All her responses are canned and worthless, not an original line in any of them. Same ol, same ol.

When these politicians keep whining that we are short on farmworkers we need to tell them:
WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE TWENTY FIVE MILLION WHO ARE ALREADY HERE?
American farmers are going to lose out BECAUSE they have become dependent on the imported agricultural workers. Progress in machine harvesting has been delayed for thirty years, due to farmworker groups' agitation.

I'm pacing this morning, tencz57. We know that these piece meal amnesty attacks are all designed to further the NAU's agenda. I'm trying to figure out how we can put ourselves, physically, into this battle. We all have responsibilities, obligations etc. We aren't a nomadic people. We can't just up and leave and camp out on someone's doorstep. That's what they know about us ! That's what they're counting on. I think we must get a campaign going to raise awareness about the NAU. There are still so many who've never heard of it, don't believe it, and so on. What to do ?

Really? I thought you folks out in Mexifornia had the power of recall voting. That is not a luxury shared in North Carolina...

The Mexican Consulates must have a 'census' and a database on the Matricula Consular cards they have issued.

Other consulates must have computer records from when its citizens contacted them.

My question would be why it has been hidden in a military spending bill at the last minute. I would also ask if its such critical legislation why its not a bill standing on its own instead of an amendment.

So what's Feinsteins's solution? Let even more in!!!

If this bill was so necessary, they why did you hide it like a coward in a defense spending bill. No defense funding unless you placate my beloved illegals! The reason you had to attach this into a defense spending bill was because it could have never passed muster on it's own two feet.

There needs to be a law that would prevent inserting something into a bill that has nothing to do with the original bill. What does a farm provision have to do with defense spending?

This is a slimmy move on the part of Feinstein and that old cow should be held accountable.
