MIAMI, Jan 27, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Endorse Liberty, a political action committee supporting Ron Paul for President, announced today that it has purchased multiple 30 minute prime time slots on Florida's WHDT TV, the largest independent broadcaster in Florida and America's first HD network, to air a special program in advance of the Florida Republican primary. The special features short films about the candidate, including "Blowback," which outlines Ron Paul's foreign and military policy for America.

"Blowback" sheds new light on the last 50 years of U.S. policy and explains why U.S. troops overwhelmingly support Paul's campaign. For Endorse Liberty, known for its humorous depictions of Presidential candidates on YouTube, this television special marks an unprecedented TV buy as well as a stark departure from its comedic roots.

"The other candidates prefer to talk down to Americans in 15- and 30-second sound bites. Ron Paul's message is too important to get lost in that kind of ridiculous shouting. 'Blowback' takes the time to carefully detail the truth of what Americans need to know about our country's foreign policy," said Stephen Oskoui of Endorse Liberty. "We like to have fun on our YouTube 'Fake Politicians' Channel', but when American lives are at stake, we -- like Ron Paul -- are critically serious. After watching 'Blowback' viewers will be better informed, and personally moved to help strengthen America at the ballot box."

For a TV audience tired of tuning in to the History Channel only to be confronted by shows about pawn shops and Big Foot, Endorse Liberty's Ron Paul special explains clearly and concisely how U.S. policy since the 1950s has led to the current war on terror and how our current foreign policy makes Americans less safe.

Via Drudge: "The Ron Paul Media Blackout Is Back On"

Submitted by Brian Middleton on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 09:05

    Link from The Drudge Report.

"After a brief spike in interest, the mainstream media coverage of GOP candidate Ron Paul is back to nearly nothing, according to the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism. This week, less than 5 percent of all campaign stories focused on Paul, the lowest point since Dec. 11. when strong performances in Iowa and New Hampshire helped stoke some interest. Over the same period, Paul's performance in the polls has only improved, going from the single digits to 12.7 percent, putting him nearly even with Rick Santorum, in the current RealClearPolitics average."

Colonel Douglas Macgregor: "Ron Paul Best For National Defense"

Submitted by edaquasure on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 07:59
Retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor explains why Rep. Ron Paul's plan would actually strengthen the U.S. military:

"As Ron Paul has pointed out, we do need to scale back our overseas footprint. Our presence in many parts of the world today is actually a catalyst for conflict. We're not cultivating peaceful conditions, in many cases we're doing the opposite..."

"Ron Paul is the only man who is in touch with reality"!"

BREAKING: Nevada GOP Changing The Rules!

Submitted by everlasticity on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 05:23
Looks like Money really can purchase elections. Sheldon Adelson, who donated 5 million to Gingrich's PAC, and whose wife donated another 5 million, has been granted a Special Evening Caucus at a private school that Adelson owns.

The Shenanigans must be stopped. Virgina was able to defend its election rules, Nevada can do the same. If it was so important to these guys to participate in the caucus, then they should have petitioned their GOP before the caucus rules were posted. What are we going to do about it?

EDIT: (Thanks to John P Slevin)

    The original post is incorrect

Virginia is a primary. Nevada is a caucus.

    World of difference there.

The caucus is run by the GOP and not by the government, as elections are run.

Therefore, it is false to compare caucus to primary as though they are the same thing.

    //////////// END CORRECTION.

So let me reiterate. WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Jon Stewart On Newt’s Moon Base: He Wants To Leave The Earth ‘For A Younger Planet’

    by James Crugnale | 11:42 pm, January 26th, 2012

Newt Gingrich‘s moon mission idea got no love from Jon Stewart on The Daily Show Thursday night. Despite getting some earlier sympathy from astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Jon Stewart lit into him for having the audacity to propose such a lofty idea while dissing other candidate’s ideas as crazy. “A moon base?! Your solution to being accused of grandiosity is ‘give me eight years and I have have a f*cking moon base?!” Stewart seethed. “Did you start with Death Star and got kind of reined in?”

Stewart lambasted Gingrich for proposing such an idea and at the same time, suggesting that nobody takes Ron Paul seriously.

“You’re right, Mr. Moon Base, they won’t take Ron Paul seriously. And that’s why I’m going to make Ron Paul my first ambassador to Moonlandia! He’s out there! So what exactly are we supposed to do with this moon base?!”

Stewart then played a clip of Gingrich jokingly suggesting he’d make it a state, which flummoxed Stewart, but soon he had it all figured out.

“I see what’s going on here, this isn’t about making new states. Newt Gingrich did that global warming ad with Nancy Pelosi realizing that the Earth is very sick–and now he wants to leave it for a younger planet!”

    Go Paul!

"That's right, Mr. Moon Base, they won't tell Ron Paul seriously!" Stewart said, ripping Gingrich. "And that’s why I’m going to make Ron Paul my first ambassador to Moonlandia!"

Ron Paul Endorsed By Maine State Rep. Aaron Libby

Before crowd of supporters in Alfred, state representative endorsement shines spotlight on Paul campaign momentum in Maine

FALMOUTH, Maine – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Maine State Representative Aaron Libby (R-Waterboro). Representing the 139th District, Rep. Libby serves an area comprised of Waterboro and part of Lyman.
At a town hall event featuring Ron Paul in Alfred, Rep. Libby made his endorsement public before the crowd of Paul supporters.

“We need to change our cradle-to-grave government mentality. Cutting taxes is not enough. We must reduce the size and cost of our federal government. I am tired of the status quo, big-government politicians of both sides of the aisle. Ron Paul represents real cuts, real change, for a free and prosperous America. I am a Ron Paul Republican,” said Rep. Libby.

Currently in his first term, Rep. Libby was a delegate to the 2008 state Republican convention and coordinates Ron Paul campaign efforts for York County. One of 10 young apple farmers selected by the U.S. Apple Association for “Capitol Hill Day,” he attempted to meet several Representatives, but found only Dr. Paul to take genuine interest in his agricultural issues when the meeting occurred. That was the day Dr. Ron Paul inspired him to make his successful run for the Maine State Legislature.

Providing a strong conclusion to Ron Paul’s two-day Maine swing, such endorsements help present Ron Paul as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney and flex the might of the only other campaign organization capable of maintaining a 50-state competition with the establishment candidate.
