Thread: Why the focus on healthcare rather than jobs??

Now we see great enthusiasm from Obama on job creation! Why did he not show that interest when first elected? I have pondered this question, and this is that I've come up with. What do you think?

Since pushing through universal health care was his MAIN goal, it was in his best interest to let unemployment numbers get higher and higher. Afterall, unemployed people are frightened--and he thought they could be manipulated into signing on to Obamacare more easily than if they had been employed and paying their bills. Now, of course, the American people have rejected this healthcare monster even though there are so many out of work. They still don't want Big Brother taking care of them! Thus, he has no choice. In order to try to regain any semblance of support, he will behave as if generating jobs is his most important goal. Interesting!!

Believe you me, he is still working on the "no insurance company left behind" act. But now he's has to seem a little more discreet, now that people actually would like their Congress to read the bills they vote for first. Damn, what an irritating detail for him.

He's still working on it... but in secret. Now he will move to get news media coverage on the successful plan for the Federal Government (that does everything so well, NOT) to pay $160,000. of taxpayer dollars to create a $30,000. job. They are brilliant, aren't they?

In addition, I would add this. The goal of the people behind these agendas such as health care "reform", cap and trade, taxing the "rich", expanding government, the non-economic non-stimulus plan, TARP II, the Omnibus bill, and the bail-outs of GM and Chrysler was to run up the debt of the United States. That's why they wouldn't let the banks decline TARP I funds or pay it back yet. There's no other explanation for that tactic or any of this other nonsense.

I would add one more point. Obama can't create private sector jobs without reversing illegal immigration and free trade policies. So, he apparently has no intention of creating jobs in the private sector. He will only create jobs in the government and not-for-profit sectors because this will be borrowed money and raise the debt some more, which is his ultimate goal, in my opinion. Because creating jobs in the US for Americans is actually very simple. Here's the formula:

1. stop illegal immigration - cuts government spending, reduces costs for states, restores lost jobs of Americans, and raises the wages of those who didn't lose a job, but experienced deflated wages because of the unfair illegal alien competition for their jobs. Count this as at least 12 million restored jobs for US citizens and existing legal immigrants.

2. pass the FairTax - cuts government spending, reduces compliance costs for individuals and corporations, raised retained earnings for corporations, increases net expendable income for all workers and earners, except illegal aliens who aren't eligible for the Monthly FairTax Rebate which is available to all US citizens and Legal Immigrants to offset the pre-determined anticipated cost of essentials for household based on the number of adults and children in the home, up to the Family Consumption Allowance.

3. protect our trade - brings our industries and manufacturers back home, balances our $840 billion trade balance in manufactured goods, creates 5,250,000 manufacturing jobs and at a 6 to 1 multiplier effect, restores 31,250,000 good jobs for Americans.

4. legalize/regulate/tax under 2 the illegal drug trade - reduces government spending on the War on Drugs, places the drug trade in the hands of US citizens only, allows government to regulate from field to retail this industry, eliminates crime, eliminates violence, eliminates incarcerations, funds the cost of regulating, funds the cost of better education of the public about the risk and consequences of drug use, funds free rehabilitation for anyone who wants or needs it, paid for solely by drug users who paid the taxes on the transactions, protects our money supply and breaks the link between illegal immigration and the illegal drug trade so we can secure our borders. I realize this is controversial, but there is no advantage in my mind to continuing the War on Drugs, morally, economically, legally and many reasons to end this what started out to be a well-intentioned program but one which at the end of the day has cost thousands of Americans their lives, millions their freedom, cost us trillions in lost money supply, hundreds of billions in law enforcement costs and done absolutely nothing to curtail the trade.

5. drill baby drill - this creates jobs, generates new investment in equipment and rigs and work in pipelines and refineries and reduces our dependence on foreign imports, secures up to $400 billion a year of our money supply and reduces the cost of oil and gas products in our economy.

There will be an immediate positive response to these policy changes. Our economy is collapsing, and these 5 simple steps will halt that collapse overnight. Job creation in the private sector will commence immediately and swell swiftly. As job creation increases, the cost of government will decline in direct proportion to the job creation with reduced spending on entitlements, unemployment and poverty programs.

This 5 step program fixes the US economy permanently. And all it is basically is a reversal of the policies that caused the economic collapse.

Diane, I agree totally. Throwing OUR money at the goal is always what he is about. What is chilling to me, however, is that he really did not WANT people to find jobs. Being employed makes people less likely to follow him over the cliff. He NEEDED people to become more and more unemployed--and thus, desperate.

He has now angered so many groups now that no matter what he does, an important part of his former support bunch will be ticked. That part is fun to watch actually.

Exactly. It's just unbelievable they thought they could get away with this.

It is so scarey, what these UN controlled Presidents have done to this country, that I have to head to bead. I sleep with nightmares every night, for the sake of my children. America was sold off a long time ago, I am guessing Bill Clinton sold the country. But the clever tactics of buying the news media with billions of dollars.... hmmmmmmmmm was that George Bush or Obama who had that brilliant Castro idea?

Judy, your plan is stellar, of course. The problem with it is that is only benefits regular Americans rather than those backing the political "system." You almost have to put any action into two colums: Action 1: Benefit?? Loss??
Action 2: Benefit?? Loss??

Figure out any next step Obama takes, and he will have to look at it that way. Who will support me? Who will pull out?

During one of his town hall meetings, 'Bama said that we can't get those manufacturing jobs back, because others can do them more cheaply.

In a letter to Obama dated Dec. 9, 2009, the Congressional Black Caucus called fpr job creation and job training, and funding for small businesses, with the money to be directed to "American citizens." This is first time that I've seen a black organization abandon the rainbow coalition fantasy and focus on what's been stating them in the face for years. If 'Bama agrees to help the poortest Americans, he'll lose the support of the illegals advocates in his own party. Gotta love watching him being caught on the horns of this dilemma.

Actually there is an explanation for this. Complete oligarchical control of the world under one global government based on dictatorial communism. A complete micromanaging of every person's life from birth to death. But in order for this happen, the American People have to have their spirit for Liberty broken. Once the American People are a completely broken and controlled people, the rest of the world will fall in line with these dictates.

It is important to know also before moving on to the other aspects of I. G. Farben, that this was the controlling, creating force behind Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Regime. This is a thoroughly documented fact that is again not widely known, but is certainly no secret.

G. Farben. But above all, they must never compete and so they were married and out of that came literally, the largest and most powerful cartel the world has ever known, even though most people have never heard about it.
Now, as the Nazis prepared for war, it became obvious that a certain group of their cartel members would be on one side and another group would be on the other side.
