I think Fred quits today ~ thoughts?
It was just reported that Fred Thompson is not in Florida today
I think he quits today , or at least before the end of the week

I think he'll probably quit, too. He'll likely endorse McCain, but I don't think many Fred supporters will swallow that, particularly if they're at all concerned about the illegal immigration issue. Even when Fred made that speech this weekend that sounded like a prelude to a McCain endorsement, he made it clear that he doesn't agree with McCain's stance on illegal immigration.

He will likely drop out before the Florida Primary. Unfortunately, its also a given that he will endorse McCain, thereby giving McCain a further boost. Huckabee is fading, he is now 4th in the Florida Polls (Rasmussen). It's a 3-way race and we need Romney (preferably) to take first or Ghuliani in order to knock McCain back and blunt his momentum.

Even if Thompson does endorse McCain , it doesn't matter ,
Thompsons main issue to his followers was illegal immigration
McC may get 2% but I think the larger share of Thompson people
will go over to Romney , in fact I believe that is already happening
with the new rasmussen poll this morning

Ron Paul will Remain Standing
Some of them may hang on through super tuesday. Thompson, Rudy and Huckabee will be gone very soon. it will be Romney, McPain and Ron Paul left standing for the duration. Ron Paul said he will attend the Convention..he has delegates and he will get more. Most important..Ron Paul has money. The interesting thing is Obama...bad news for him about something in his past that has surfaced. That is going to knock him out of the race. More drugs...as recent as 1999.
