CANADIAN COUNTY, OKLA. -- Narcotics agents in Oklahoma seized more than 100 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop.

The cocaine was a cross country trip from Mexico to Chicago that was interrupted by agents and a drug dog.

Agents say drugs travel on Oklahoma highways every day, but the sheer amount of this haul surprised them.

"It tells you the volume that are coming into the United States on a daily basis and that's very concerning," said Mark Woodward of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.

Agents say the drugs were 97 percent pure and have a street value of $1.5 million.
Cartel shipments are usually broken up so that in case of busts like this one, the drugs can still make it to the destination....so this could be part of a larger haul.
