Two arrested during protest in support of convicted agents
Associated Press
HOLLYWOOD - Police arrested two people during a march in Hollywood organized in support of U.S. Border Patrol agents who were convicted of shooting an alleged drug smuggler.
Authorities had to separate several hundred demonstrators and counter-protesters on Saturday. An adult and teenager were arrested, one for assault with the a deadly weapon and the other for disorderly conduct, said Hollywood Police Sgt. David Torres.
Their names have yet to be released and police do not know which side of the protest they were on, Torres said.
On Feb. 17, 2005, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila attempted to smuggle about 750 pounds of marijuana across the Texas-Mexico border. Agents spotted Aldrete-Davila and shot him in the buttocks.
The two agents, Jose Alonso Compean, 30, and Ignacio Ramos, 35, were convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and other counts for shooting Aldrete-Davila. Both are from El Paso, Texas.
No weapon was found at the scene and Aldrete-Davila was not caught.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I just did a very thorough search, and they aren't telling us a thing about who was arrested except that one was a kid, and a weapon was involved.

Two arrested during immigration protests
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
February 11, 2007
Two people were arrested Saturday when marchers supporting two jailed Border Patrol agents clashed with counter-protesters for immigrant rights on Hollywood Boulevard.
Police said they separated the two groups, which totaled several hundred people, after members of both sides began shouting expletives and shoving.
A man in his 20s was arrested for throwing a bottle that struck someone in the head, and a teenager was arrested for challenging a police officer to a fight, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division.
Authorities said they did not know which groups those arrested were associated with.
The march was organized by several anti-illegal immigration groups, including The Minutemen Project and Save Our State, to encourage President Bush to pardon two agents convicted of shooting an unarmed man who fled after being caught smuggling 743 pounds of marijuana into the U.S.
Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean were sentenced last year to 11 and 12 years, respectively, for assault with a deadly weapon and violating the smuggler's civil rights.
Counter-protesters from the pro-immigrant group ANSWER accused the marchers of being racist and anti-immigrant.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
