Agents Continue to Encounter Criminal Aliens in the Rio Grande Valley

EDINBURG, Texas – Recently, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a Mara Salvatrucha gang member, and a wanted child predator.

On Thursday, Rio Grande City agents working near Roma, Texas, arrested a Salvadoran national after entering the U.S. illegally. During processing, record checks indicated the man is a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.


On Sunday, Brownsville agents
arrested a Mexican national after entering the United States illegally. During processing, record checks revealed the man has an outstanding arrest warrant in Georgia. The Tifton Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest for Statutory rape and child molestation. Subject will be extradited by federal authorities to Georgia.
