ICE makes five arrests in Albertville

A sweep nabbed five suspected illegal immigrants in Albertville as part of a federal investigation.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the Albertville Police Department arrested the following people: Carlos Caballero, 27, no address given; Jose Felipe, 30, of Albertville; Samuel Barrera-Calachij, 22, of Albertville; Augustine Gonzales, 28, of Albertville; and Roberto Lopez-Gonzalez, 26, of Albertville.

All of those arrested in the sting had ICE Detainers issued for them.

They are all being held in the Albertville City Jail for various misdemeanor charges including dui, public intoxication and domestic violence.

When their charges are cleared with Albertville Police Department , they will be turned over to the custody of ICE.
