I would like to know how an illegal alien got in state tuition at the college. If she was an international student as she should have been then she would still be here and her family would be in Peru. There was a case where a young woman whose familyn was illegal that was pushing for in state tuition at universities. Someone got angry at her and reported them to ICE. The family was deported and she was allowed to remain as she was an international student.

Some states have passed laws to give instate tuition to illegals but according to federal law if you offer in state tuition to illegals you also have to give it to American citizens of the other 49 states. This lately has caused alot of out of state citizens to sue the colleges and those students have received a refund on thier out of state tuition Problem is alot of students do not no this, also if the "Dream Act" passes I am not sure if this will still be the case.

These were all very good points:

I agree the effects of enforcing lawful immigration in South Florida will be devastating to the economy of the region. For once employers will have to pay a living wage and time and half for all work over 40 hours. Home prices will plummet as the glut of houses will drive the prices to their actual worth. Gone to will be the need for all the illegal additions that have been built, so those can be torn down. Congestion on the roads will drop so the cost of widening and upgrading and extending them will be saved. Social services will finally have a chance to catch their breath. The medical industry will be able to provide proper health services instead the current slaughterhouse procedures that are now used. The expense of using Medicaid as Worker?s Comp will be paid by the employer as Worker?s Comp, instead of Medicaid by State tax dollars. Developers and Contractors will no longer be able to afford to bribe our local government. Since they will have to pay real wages and provide benefits as well as pay all the expenses of their business without government subsidies.

From another posting about the college in question they actually give illegals out of state tuition in many cases rather than international student. That way the potential student doesn't have to return home and get a visa and also does not need medical insurance and proof of abilty to pay for the entire time it takes to complete their degree. If the college does that with illegals then they make more money than they would by enrolling mostly legal residents and citizens.
