Tens-of-thousands of people across the Bay Area turned out in protest of Arizona's tough new immigration law.

Does anyone know if this number is accurate?

If only they would have enforced the 1986 IRCA laws from day one.

All this new law does is END SANCTUARY POLICIES statewide in AZ. The Federal gov't should have done it 88 when sanctuary was first mentioned in so many American cities and states.

It sounds way off of anything I've seen. Maybe it is a question of what "turned out" is. Like what the definition of what is, is, ah la Clinton.

And the news says the tea party's are not diverse

Acually I am surprised there was not more trouble, imagine what would have happen if Americans came out in full force.

One of the local TV stations included an interview with a woman who'd applied for citizenship after California passed Proposition 187. She said she felt like a traitor to her country - that being Mexico, of course.

A younger woman whose mother is illegal said she wouldn't know what to do, if her mother were deported. I guess sending mom a check would be too much effort.

The San Francisco Bay Area actually covers a very large area. It includes many counties: San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Alameda County, Santa Clara County. And the "Bay Area" is a loose term that is defined differently by different people. Some would even say it includes Sonoma County. I read one article that included Sacramento in the Bay Area. Sacramento is 200 miles away. In any case, 10K protestors in the entire Bay Area would be a very, very poor showing of protestors.

If your an illegal, then be our guest to go back to your own country and think about
becoming a citizen like all the rest before you- don't come here demanding rights that you don't deserve or think you are entitled to.

the assaults on the two women typifies just who we are dealing with a bunch of uncivilized barbarians who thinks that they can intimidate and frighten enough people that we will retreat and allow them to take over and do anything they damn well please in this country they have thumbed their noses 50 million times at us each one who came here illegally and have the audacity to think that they can stay and continue breaking our laws this is typical of what the U.S. is getting when they consider amnesty this is a different breed of illegals than we have had before these are the "real criminals" gang bangers, thugs drug runners, human smugglers identity theft thieves pedophiles you name it they make up the gambit of every kind of criminal act imaginable so the U.S. had better think this thing through once legalized they will be coming after congress and the president with AK47's blazing just wait and see So I hope the idiot congress gets the message before its too late and the sun is going down fast.

the pro amnesty protesters are loud and boisterous they think that their noise is frightening us that's because they are barbaric never taught any manners or respect of others. we are the silent majority busy hard working bees preparing for the great harvest when they are told that they must return to their countries of origin that there will be no more freebies there is nothing left to fight for this country is BROKE!!!! because of your invasion you just don't know when enough is enough
