    Articles from Mexican newspapers

I found these two articles on Mexican Google and the jist is that Romney is the leading candidate most clearly on the side of the immigration enforcement support movement.

The year 2007 leaves undocumented in the dark

Here is the first one courtesy of babelfish:

Mitt Romney insists on deportation of migrantes without documents that reside in EU The ex- governor of Massachusetts said in the debate between republican candidates in New Hampshire who must have priority the hundreds of aspirings to the legal entrance which they hope anywhere in the world. Washington, EU. - The undocumented migration faced Mitt Romney today the main republican presidential aspirings, because it insisted on deporting to more than 12 million immigrants without documents that reside in United States. The ex- governor of Massachusetts said in the debate between republican candidates of this Saturday in New Hampshire who must have priority the hundreds of aspirings to the legal entrance which they hope anywhere in the world. ' Simply he is not well and it is unjust to say that all are going away to be, when there is people around the world that is been hoping its turn to come to this country. They must have that opportunity primeró, said ' That people (the residents without documents) must be invited to wait for her turn outside the country like all those that they want to come, but do not have to receive a special right to remain aquÃ*', finished off when closing all option of legalization to migrantes without documents. Romney directed to its critics in individual to the senator by Arizona John McCain, who impelled in the Senate the proposal of migratory reform that failed before the opposition of most of the republicans and some democrats. In one of the algid interchanges but at night, Romney accused McCain to promote an amnesty in favor of 12 million undocumented people, which denied its opponent when remembering to him that its proposal included forecasts for the regularización. '!No is amnesty. You can spend all your whole fortune in these attacks, my friend, but he is not verdad', responded McCain without being able to hide its malaise. It recognized nevertheless that the unpopularity of the subject between the republicans forced it to rectify, in individual emphasized the necessity to reinforce the first security in the border. Rudy Giuliani, ex- New York mayor, agreed in that point when indicating that only after that reinforcement with more agents and modern technology, the point of the situation of the immigrants without documents could be approached that are in the country. Giuliani added that any plan that implies the payment of fines and a time of delay does not constitute an amnesty, and remembered that he was Ronald Reagan, the hero of the republicans, who yes granted an amnesty in the law of migration of 1986. ' No of us has a perfect record in immigration because this it is problems complicated. What we must do is to decide as it is the best plan. It is necessary to stop the migration in the border and later to have a system racional', aimed. On the other hand Mike Huckabee seemed to add to the position of Romney when favoring the exit of the million undocumented people to initiate from its countries of origin the regularización process, option that it affirmed ' is not inhumanó.

Here is the second, also from babelfish:

Posted: Sun Jan 06, 2008 11:00 p.m. Post subject: The to year 2007 leaves undocumented in the dark The 2007 left to undocumented immigration in the neglect For 2008 we want "to live proper", says Mar?a By Leticia Beresford Bridge Florida, EU. - Although inmigraci?n undocumented of women and men in this pa?s was subject that reson? in all means of comunicaci?n massive and impuls? supposed soluci?n for m?s of 12 million migrantes, the 2007 not s?lo desampar, but recrudeci? its life, turning American his sue?o nightmare. Univisi?n says that the 2007 cerr? the door to legalizaci?n, endureci? the migratory pol?tica with casts, separaci?n of families, deportations, construcci?n of an border wall and quiet discussions of laws anti immigrants in municipalities and states. At the end of December, and the migrantes without documents remained with the hands vac?as. The comprehensive migratory reform, says the Time magazine, at heart was not m?s that one amnist?a. Elvira Arellano, Mexican migrante deported after a?o to remain put in a home in a church, mention? that they let request amnist?a, because the government him ten?a fear to that word, for that reason went with the phrase of comprehensive. It, from her sanctuary in Chicago, gave account of the atrocities, of the lobbyings, tambi?n of the hopes. It was the operating voice. And qued? waiting for the aid of the Mexican agent chief executives Vicente Fox, and of their successor Felipe Calder?n, both of the Divided conservative National Acci?n. Now, from M?xico, he follows moviliz?ndose, while of this side of the border and the undocumented immigrants est?n every unprotected time m?s, m?s vulnerable to the actions anti immigrants. The New York Times, on the other hand, gives to account in the editorial of dominical his edici?n, titled migraci?n and the candidates, of the different positions from the candidate and the candidates from the presidency of the United States. Of the dem?crata side, and the candidate they see migraci?n undocumented of different way, with possibilities of legalizaci?n. Whereas the hard republicans are m?s, with excepci?n of John McCain. The vigilant NYT that a possible migratory reform podr?a to take two a?os or m?s. The subject, notices the metropolitan newspaper, has left naci?n divided. And the voters want honesty and soluci?n, nonambivalences. And the republicans est?n not giving answers, but s? shouting. Whereas the dem?cratas est?n saying the right things, but ayudar?a if they spoke m?s hard. The certain thing is that poblaci?n American knows that if and the immigrants live in the fear and hopelessly, podr?n not to help to make their beds and their meals, to feed his beb?s and ill relatives, to gather its fruits of the field, says the neoyorkino metropolitan newspaper. Mar?a, a Colombian who takes care of three ni?os, says that the?nico that hope and request to God for a?o 2008, is that they do not deport it and that opens coraz?n to them and to the Americans to be able to continue working and to live like them. To live proper, says Mar?a, as it says the order: it loves your pr?jimo like a same you.
