The bill passed unanimously and is now headed to the Senate.

"People who have already shown a propensity to break the law should not be allowed to carry a firearm," said House Speaker Jim Weiers regarding HB2486.

The bill also applies to all foreigners traveling in the state with or without documentation.

Any person studying in Arizona while maintaining a residence abroad is also prohibited to carry a firearm under this bill.

The bill exempts people who have a valid hunting license, foreign law enforcement officials, and those with permission from the federal government.

It is the illegal's with the illegal guns that we need to worry about. This law really doesn't have any merit does it?

I thought it was already a felony under Federal law for an illegal alien to possess a gun.
