Suspected drophouse found in Avondale

Avondale police arrested three men in connection with a suspected drophouse on Sunday.

Police received a 911 call around 1 p.m. from a female claiming she and others were being held against their will at a residence at the 3200 block of North 103rd Avenue in Avondale, according to police.

Officers responded to the location and found three men outside the residence and detained them. Officers then checked the residence and found 11undocumented immigrants in the home. Police identified the three detained men as the suspected hostage-takers.
Police contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement and agents responded to the scene. They found a semi-automatic pistol from inside one suspect's vehicle.

ICE agents took the three men into custody and they are being held on federal charges, police said.

The suspects are Juan Sosa-Camacho, 31, Hernesto Perez-Carballo, 23, and Rene Gomez-Vazquez, 34. All three men are from Avondale, police said.
