    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has everyone forgotten about the environmental impact of the massive, 3-layered WALL being built at the border?

This wall will effectively STOP the spread of erosion caused by all the trucks and Mexican army tanks smugglers currently use to ship massive amounts of people and dope into New Mexico, Arizona, and Southeastern California (the western part of California was walled in the '90s, so southern San Diego County's environment is recovering from all the illegal shanty-towns, open-air garbage dumps, cess-pools, and eroding land caused by truck-traffic and millions of human feet - today's illegal immigration disaster).

As for the millions of smugglers, OTMs, and Mexican illegals who cross by foot, all the mountains of trash and cess-pools will go away. Fragile ecosystems and wildlife have been damaged by the massive unauthorized cross-border traffic...it will take years to restore these areas. The wall should be an integral part of the environmental reclamation and preservation effort at the border.

The new wall, in conjunction with increased border patrol, surveillance, workplace raids, deportation, and employer sanctions, will also keep the U.S. from exploding to 1-billion people by century's end. Third-World style population growth is disastrous to our environment. A wall will help protect our forests, farmland, and air from the biggest threat of all: sprawl and overcrowding caused by unwarranted and unwanted population growth.
