Thread: Border Patrol agent shot at while sitting in patrol car near border

A Border Patrol agent was shot at early Sunday morning while sitting in his marked patrol car just north of the U.S.-Mexico border, authorities said.

The gunfire occurred about 2:15 a.m. a mile and a half west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to William Rogers, supervisory Border Patrol agent with the San Diego Sector. At least two bullets struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, but the agent was not injured and immediately drove to a safer location.

Authorities said the gunfire appeared to have come from the Mexican side of the border. Mexican authorities responded and initially detained two people. One had a handgun, while the second person was released. Neither was identified.

The FBI is investigating the shooting.

Glad the Mexican authorities reacted so swiftly. Hopefully the one with the handgun is the culprit and he will be punished.

and neither Trump or Mattis has any desire or intention of doing anything about this. They will not even protect our military base on the border.

This IS war!

When is the Commander-in-Chief going to deploy the troops and stop this madness at our border!

Yes, Beezer this is War!

Our CIC will do nothing about this as long as he has his cheerleaders cheering him on for doing nothing. We all need to stand with one voice and tell him, no more excuses, no more telling us he has sent troops to protect the border, when he has not. If all those who voted for him to STOP this, stood with one voice, then hopefully he would not continue to ignore us. Until that happens, this will continue.

like I said they can shoot us But we can not shoot them that BS as I said be for this is out of hand (more boot's On the ground & with gun's )

I am really surprised to find someone at ALIPAC who is opposed to holding Trump accountable to his campaign promises on immigration.

You aren't holding him accountable, you're jeopardizing his Presidency by risking the mid-terms. Republicans have an enormous task before them, to win the mid-terms, something that has only happened once in our history and that was in 2002 after 9/11 when a first term President kept or gained a majority in the US Congress in the mid-term elections. Winning the mid-terms, is all that matters right now, because if we lose the mid-terms and lose even one chamber of Congress, anything and everything you think you want or need just farted and flew out the window.

If he had done something about this immigration problem, the mid-terms would not be in jeopardy. If he did something NOW, that would help the mid-terms much more than his exaggerations and lies at these rallies. We want action, not more lies and broken promises.

Many of us are not satisfied to be in this perpetual election mode, and once elected they do nothing.
