Federal officers say they seized $200,000 from a man trying to smuggle the money into Mexico.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents confiscated nine bundles of U.S. currency Wednsday at the B&M International Bridge.
According to a statement, the officers sent a Mexican national who lives in Brownville to secondary inspection, where officers discovered $200,018 hidden in a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup.
CBP officers seized the money and truck. The 39-year-old driver was turned over to agents with the ICE Homeland Security Investigations unit.
