Bush to visit Arizona border Monday

Suppose he's going to talk about how he's improving our border security? This won't amount to anything but a few pics. Wonder if he'll get into a dune buggy again?

Bush to visit Arizona border Monday

President Bush will make a return visit to the Arizona border Monday to outline his plans for immigration reform and border security.

Bush is expected to tour the San Luis Port of Entry, south of Yuma, though White House officials declined to confirm most aspects of the visit.

Sen. Jon Kyl, and Rep. Jeff Flake, all Arizona Republicans, also are expected to venture to ground zero of the immigration issue with the president. Sen. John McCain may also be present but hasn’t fully committed to the event.

The trip comes nearly a year after Bush rode in a Border Patrol dune buggy and inspected a fortified portion of the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border near Yuma on May 18.

At that time, Bush championed his five-point strategy on border issues.

The president’s plan called for increased border security; a guest-worker plan; enforcement against employers who hire illegal workers; a path to citizenship for most illegal immigrants already living in the United States; and respect for the country’s tradition of the melting pot, which unites people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

McCain included most aspects of the president’s strategy in a measure he co-sponsored with Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., last year, but the House failed to approve it. The proposal died before becoming law. Flake has co-sponsored a similar measure in the House this year.

Bush returned to Arizona late last year to sign legislation in Paradise Valley that increased funding for border security.

White House spokesman Blair Jones declined to elaborate on the details of Bush’s planned remarks, including whether the president will re-iterate his five-point plan or offer a new plan. More details about the president’s trip will be announced in coming days, Jones said.

I hope Arizona citizens let Bush know just what they think like Iowa did to McCain. Arizona's been a source of encouragement to all of us. I hope they give him hell!

Well I wish Bush would have been at the Town hall meeting here last night. He would have gotten an ear full. It was a very large crowd. I would say about 200 to 300 people. Everyone was angry over the none enforcement of our Immigration laws. I could see a big difference in the anger last night from just a year ago. When I walked in. That was all I heard people talking about.

    The Citizens have awoke.

Hopefully bush is BOOd out of town. He has nothing for Yuma but turn the medical care over to illegals. The town is crawling with illegals who don't know how to drive. In some areas you cannot even get served if you don't speak spanish.

Wonder who he is going to deliver a kiss of death to. Who's career is on the line. Who's arm is about to be twisted. Who is going to have to stand in front of the camera and tell a lie to the nation so Bush can push his OBL agenda.

This is a show. Pull up a chair and grab the popcorn.

Wonder who he is going to get to say it's OK for Mexican trucks to roll through because we have the best technology... Forget not having enough time or man power for the daunting task of screening the abundance of trucks that will push their way in.

He's trying to stack the deck in his favor. This is not about national security, this is about his crazy touch back-path to citizenship.

He's going down there to shake hands and surround himself with BP agents and mug for the camera and put on the impression that the BP supports his crazy Let Them All In Agenda.

    Liar, liar,
    Paints on fire.

Don't think his border visit will make much news. If I want to hear the same ole lies I'll go to a used car lot.

When Thousands of Truckers circle the nations capitals and thousands
show up to lobby congress that will be news...
