Chicago immigration activist marks year in church

CHICAGO - An illegal immigrant who has sought sanctuary in a Chicago church to avoid deportation for the past year says she'll continue fighting for Immigration reform.
Flor Crisostomo (floor kree-SOHS'-toh-moh) has defied a deportation order to Mexico while living at the Adalberto United Methodist Church in the city's Humboldt Park neighborhood.
Wednesday marks her one-year anniversary at the church.
Crisostomo tells The Associated Press she has no immediate plans to leave and wants to make sure that President Barack Obama makes good on campaign promises for Immigration reform.
The 29-year-old says the hardest part about the last year has been getting politicians to listen to her message. She says it's also difficult to live without three children who are in Mexico with their grandmother.

Flor who??? Elvira has already been there and done that. Flor just never got the press the other lady did. I guess she has no son here to parade around.
In a way she's been in prison for a year any way.
So she's waiting for President Obama eh? We shall see.
Simple suggestion. Quietly go back to your children and live a simple happy life with them. I don't want to go a day with out seeing my children.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Hmmm a full year of sending no money to kids and grandma in mexico? Shouldn't she be back in mexico earning some money for her family? No one is separating from her family except HER. Time to shut up and get out! How long does she think Coleman and co. will support her fat behind? How long before thousands of illegals converge on this "church" demanding to be supported?

Time to mount a "Deport Flor" campaign. Calls to Chicago ICE and IL AG Lisa Maddigan (sp?) every day until she's outta here and back in Mexico with her 3 kids where she belongs.

I just wonder what will happen when those illegals and their families, afraid of deportation, swarm the sanctuary churches and figure on getting fed by church members.

Hope the church enjoys paying her expenses as much as we do.
