Thread: City Churches Plan to Offer Sanctuary to Illegal Immigrants

There aren't enough churches to hold them all.

Perhaps this will give ICE the opportunity to round some more criminal aliens up for deporation. I think we should start with the church Elvira is hiding out in.

Don't bet on it. They have a lot of experience at maximizing space - just look at how many can be packed in a van, bed of a truck, or trunk of a car.

Let them do it! It's about money. Right now, they think it will be profitable. I'm sure Elvira and Illian2 have received some donations so others are looking for sponsors. The money will get tight and they will kick them to the deportation proceedings. They might actually guilt trip them out of their money first. If they own property and the church can help them sell it.

Yea, it will be wonderful, until they start bringing the rest of their family in from out of the country, to live at the church. Wait until they need medical attention. Wait until someone gets pregnant, while living in the chruch. Wait until someone plays cards, gets drunk or smokes. Don't forget the destruction and noise little kids can make. Can you say kickball with the communion cup? Oh, most churches don't have showers or kitchens. They better educate the children and hire ESL teachers. You know, all the stuf the taxpayers have been covering for the illegal aliens.

The church and the illegals will be going against Biblical direction so they will get what they will have coming.

Leviticus 19:34. Several passages in the book of Leviticus outline rules applying to Israelites and the "aliens" living among them. The passages require that the aliens abide by the same standards as the Israelites.

That's not what I read but OK.

Of the 18 Bibles that I checked, the only one that referes to strangers as aliens, which is the New International Version.

At what point do you say we have stop letting people in, we are getting over populated, these people don't care, they just simply can not look at the consequnses of over population.

When are we going to stop changeing laws to satisfiy peoples needs' its just unbelieveable!!!

Religion is and always has been a corporation. Religion is in the business of not only selling life after death insurance policies, they are in it for control and financial gain. They are now beginning to show their fangs as they shed their sheeps clothing.

Many will come in Christ's name claiming to be the Christ. This is exactly what the many religions out there claim to be. Don't be deceived by them. Don't be devoured and spit out by them.

Churches in major cities across the country are preparing to grant "sanctuary" to illegal immigrants facing deportation in an effort to unite evangelicals behind comprehensive immigration reform, according to a pastor organizing the effort.

To me this is defiant church arrogance at its peak! There is no justifiable reason that organized religion should "grant sanctuary" to illegal aliens in lieu of other needy American citizens of which there are millions.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" has absolutely nothing to do with God's law and to equate this political issue with a moral one is not only foolish it is an outright error in national logic that undermines the stability of our society. Churches should DISCREDIT illegal aliens who abandon their native families to pursue money in the U.S. not sanctify their illegal activities.

The better churches support missionary work WITHIN the countries where help is needed, not by opposing laws here in the U.S.

No responsibility or remorse expressed and we Americans are supposed to embrace this? They break laws and make excuses and then we are to expect they will be model citizens? They tout Mexico and consider themselves Mexican and we are supposed to welcome them? They care not at all for America or American culture but we are the ones who are wrong? What a load of crap! You are as crooked and greedy as our government and many of our corporations. Christ warned against leaders such as you.

Lev. 24:22 "You shall have ONE manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country:....
(Not the two different sets of "wink-nods" we have now. It also talks about an "eye for an eye" and a "breach for a breach". If they want to cherry-pick scriptures then so be it. The "ONE Manner" of law is BROKEN when ILLEGAL aliens are treated DIFFERENTLY than LEGAL immigrants.

Lev. 19:15 "You shall do no unrighteous in judgement: thou shall NOT respect the person of the poor, nor HONOUR the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor." v.11 "You shall not STEAL, neither deal FALSELY, neither LIE one to another." (So the priests say that just because these people are POOR, they shouldn't have to obey the laws??!! How about using Fake ID's, stealing ID's, LIEING on applications, etc.)

Ancient Israel was a theocracy. He laid down the laws and statutes for HIS people. Fact is we DO "welcome the stranger" just like they did in Israel, they had to adopt and follow the procedures and laws, just as do IMMIGRANTS today. Can you imagine the "stranger" entering Israel and DEFYING the laws. He would have been ejected or killed.
