Obama to Push Immigration Bill as One Priority

While acknowledging that the recession makes the political battle more difficult, President Obama plans to begin addressing the country’s immigration system this year, including looking for a path for illegal immigrants to become legal, a senior administration official said on Wednesday.

Mr. Obama will frame the new effort — likely to rouse passions on all sides of the highly divisive issue — as “policy reform that controls immigration and makes it an orderly system,â€

The main problem is that the Neo-con controlled Retardican Party cannot offer any alternatives to this imbicile. All we have is George Bush light...Romney has rolled over and kissed the amnesty behind with big wet smackin lips, so pray tell, who else is there?

All the illegal lovers have to do is play for time....

It will really piss off the electorate,so maybe that is why Obummer is doing it now, so people forget about it in 3 years...

In broad outlines, officials said, the Obama administration favors legislation that would bring illegal immigrants into the legal system by recognizing that they violated the law, and imposing fines and other penalties to fit the offense.

Well since each illegal aliens steals $10,000 a year from Americans, that should be their fine, for each year they have been here and each additional year they stay!!! Plus an extra $10,000 a year for each anchor baby they have.

By the way this is the Mexican owned NY Times, of course it will be slanted.

But you know if he is stupid enough to have the debate this year next year might see a big crop of pro American pro borders politicians elected, and we might get the SAVE act passed without any amnesty.

Not only do the amnesty advocates favor that as a policy they are also trying to get family reunification here. Any amnestied illegal alien would then be permitted to bring in their family from abroad. The emerging regions of sending communities in countries like Mexico would end up stripped of enough people for a viable economy except for one composed of constructing uninhabited second homes. The politicians trying to install a patronage political system here based on welfare state benefits would be triumphant.

The opposition has had time to rally much larger forces and resources toward advancing their final victory, We need leaders on our side with BIG ideas fast with a movement and I am ready to help any way I can


What happened to border security , We need a tea party on the Mexican boarder,

Gutierrez, a Democrat from Mr. Obama’s hometown, Chicago, has been on the road most weekends since last December, traveling far outside his district to meetings in Hispanic churches, hoping to generate something like a civil rights movement in favor of broad immigration legislation.

Members of the U.S. Congress don't work at the pleasure of the President! They work for the American public, specifically their constituents.
