If you sign up for Border Patrol on the Southern Border at those certain locations, you can receive a 25% bonus for 3 years on top of your base salary of $32,844 and over-time which would be around $8,000 - $9,000. The bonus would be another $10,000 if they calculate it on your sum of base plus over-time. It may only be calculated on your base. If it's calculated on your base then that's another $8,000. If it's on your total of base and OT, than that would be another $2,000 to $2,250. So the total could be as much of $33 + $8 + $8 = $49,000 to $51,250.

Now, we're talking!! But most applicants will forget it unless you change your website to grab them on that first look. Most people are not going to pursue this job unless they're already living in that area for $32,844. So if they look at that first page where you state the salary as $32,844, they're not going further. In fact, even the people already in that area will probably tell you to shove it.

So, you're marketing these jobs improperly on these very convoluted and confusing websites.

You need an immediate self-contained page solely for these Border Protection Officer jobs on the Southern Border. You need to show it just like I've done. Base plus overtime plus bonus for 3 years.

Also, your website says "Relocation Provided: No".

Really? You think someone who is willing to click on your job offer at $32,844 is going to pay their own way down from Pennsylvania to Arizona? You think they're going to move a house or apartment full of furniture and belongings and a family at their expense. I don't think so, not for that salary.

You need to change that on your website and say "Relocation Provided: Yes." Please tell these applicants you'll pay relocation expenses, i. e. a moving van company to help them move and the government pays for it.

And you also need to address the spouse issue because if the spouse works, they will be moving too and will need a job at the new location, so you're going to have to figure out how to address that issue if you want long-term employees willing to stay on the border itself. Our society is 2 incomes, 2 careers, and from what I've seen of these remote border towns, that might be an issue that's stopping a lot of new hires at these locations.

Thank you for considering these suggestions and GOOD LUCK!!

Everyone on ALIPAC, please spread the word far and wide about these Border Patrol jobs. There's a lot of Americans who will apply if they know they can make over $50,000 a year starting out, including their base pay, plus overtime, plus that 25% signing bonus for 3 years, and great benefits.

Also, there are quick promotions available that bump you up even further, some within 6 months, and others within 1 year.

Finally, with regards to the signing bonus, there was a caveat "depending on available funds". Oh please, this will not do. The signing bonus needs to be fully funded and funded now. Get it into the Supplemental and approved by Congress now. There can be no flim-flam on the signing bonus. Remember the Obama Bonus Screw-up for our military out in California?? We don't want any more scams like that where in a few years, they geta big bill from the government demanding they pay back their signing because the government screwed up. Okay?
