Here in Georgia, new immigration rules will take effect in just days. The Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act prevents public employers from hiring undocumented workers and it halts certain state services to those groups as well.
The debate has been bitter for months and with all the heated exchange some say there's confusion about what's legal and what is not.
While medical students Kate Neuhausen and Chris Griggs argued against the changes in Georgia law at the state Capitol, now that the new rules are about to kick in they said they're seeing fear that is putting people’s health at risk.
“People don't want to be deported, they know that there are citizens out there that don't want 'em to be here and they're afraid of showing their face in a public place,â€Just your ordinary, average, everyday, American mom!
