Dems to use lame duck session to push DREAM Act
Democrats are considering cramming as many as 20 pieces of legislation into the lame-duck session they plan to hold after the Nov. 2 election.
The array of bills competing for floor time shows the sense of urgency among Democratic lawmakers to act before the start of the 112th Congress, when Republicans are expected to control more seats in the Senate and House.
But, given the slow pace of the Senate, it also all but guarantees that Democrats will be hard-pressed to pass even a small part of their lame-duck agenda.
The highest-profile item for November and December is the tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, passed under President George W. Bush, which expire at year’s end.
Democrats have promised they will not allow tax rates to rise for families making less than $250,000 a year.
Democratic leaders have also prioritized the defense authorization bill, which includes a repeal of the “Don’t ask, don’t tellâ€

I Wish Washington DC would shut down for a month after the Nov elections. The more the Dems do the more damage occurs to the U S.

Cowards! They don't want to vote on the Dream Act before the election because they know it's unpopular among the voters.

I saw Brian Bilbray on America's Newsroom this morning and he said Mexico had been promised 'something' before the end of the year, not just for illegals already here, but for those who want to come.
The progressives have nothing to lose. We are on to them now and they know it. NOTHING they do will surprise me.

"Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) says he intends to hold Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to a promise to schedule a vote on legislation that would bar the Environmental Protection Agency from taking action to curb carbon gas emissions for two years. "
Rockefeller may be willing to trade his vote on the DREAM AMNESTY ACT for some support for his delay in the "curb of carbon gas emissions".

I think it is important to get a commitment from each Senator BEFORE the election on how they will vote on the Dream Act in the lame duck session if brought to the floor for a vote.

ILLEGALS’ invading our Nation is not a partisan issue; there are Politicians in both major Political Parties who are against Amnesty, for Enforcement, and Securing our Borders. However, during the last few years I have learned that many Politicians that you vote for under a set of parameters much as CHILDREN always test the limits of how far they go and to see what they can get away with in office. They have a lot of pressure from Special Interest Groups and Elitist Political Contributors and we have to continue to remind the Politicians that we will remove them from office if they want to serve the Special Interest Groups and not the Citizens. If the Elitist Politicians refuse their Citizens and only serve their Special Interest Groups our Nation will be lost so we must continue to REMIND!
HOWEVER A LAME-DUCK CONGRESSMAN ONLY HAS HIS ELITIST POLITICAL CONTRIBUTORS TO ANSWER. What recourse do United States Citizens have when the LAME-DUCKS only serve their ELITIST SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS?????
